🌟 Today I’m in a showroom doing the kind of work that doesn’t look dramatic, but decides everything.
When I source, I’m not chasing what’s “trendy 🍾”. I choose what will still feel right after months of real living: how it wears, how it handles light, and how it sits next to the other finishes in your home.
Whenever possible, I source locally, not as a slogan, but because it keeps projects smoother: clearer lead times, fewer surprises, easier swaps, and better control from sample to install.
Personally, I’m always drawn to natural materials and honest textures - they add warmth, depth, and a sense of ease you can’t fake 🪵, 🪨, 🪴.
A refined home is built on quiet decisions:
- Fewer material types - more cohesion between the ones we choose.
- Sustainable choices - not just better for the environment or for your wallet - best of both worlds to be both local and financially-wise.
- Lasting results - make it FUNCTIONAL! Understand how life is lived and then buy what’s needed, not copy-pasting the best practices from a design-catalogue.
I’m curious - what’s your favorite design store for furniture and finishing touches?
💎 I’m always collecting local spots and hidden gems so let me know! 💎
