What if your bathroom could feel like a jewel box…colorful, layered, and completely connected to the rest of your home? 💙 Swipe through the before and after to see the transformation.

For this refresh, every detail was chosen to bring beauty and function together:

• Custom storage with character: A richly stained dresser adds warmth, personality, and generous deep-drawer storage.

• Tile that makes a statement: Teal basket-weave tile brings texture, movement, and a beautiful dose of color to the shower while echoing teal accents throughout the home.

• Details that elevate the everyday: Updated vanity doors and drawer fronts, a quartz waterfall shower bench, frameless glass, and polished brass fixtures give the space a refined, finished look.

We carried the same thoughtful palette into the adjoining office with teal grasscloth wallpaper, warm greige paint, a generous area rug, and a fresh light fixture. The result is a cohesive, inviting space that’s ready for everything from quiet mornings to the next video meeting.

If you could borrow one detail from this makeover for your own home, would you choose the teal tile, custom storage, or brass accents?

Happy birthday to my favorite sidekick! He is a very loyal design assistant with zero respect for personal space.

He’s been right by my side through the exciting projects, the stressful days, the late nights, and every single tile and rug sample spread across the floor. If it’s soft and cozy, it gets his approval first!

Happy Birthday Scout! 🐶 🤍

Nine years. 🤍

This month marks 9 years of Home Story Interiors, and when I look back, it’s hard not to see how much of this journey was shaped by something deeply personal and what I felt like The Lord had as calling me to do.

I started this business in April of 2017, not long after losing my mom to leukemia. She had the most incredible eye for design and color, and she’s still one of my greatest inspirations. In many ways, this business was started out of that season…sometimes grief can push us into places we never would have gone on our own.

What began as a step outside my comfort zone has grown into something I truly love.

Helping clients create homes that feel like them….spaces that reflect their family, their story, and the way they live, is what I always strive to do in every project. Your home should never feel generic… it should feel personal, layered, and lived in.

I’m grateful for every client who has invited me into their home and trusted me with their project over the past nine years.

Your home should tell your story and I am honored I get to be a small part of that. 🤍

The objective of this project was to create a cozy, upscale atmosphere while maintaining the home's Spanish style architecture. Initially, the client expressed concerns that the kitchen and living room felt narrow and had a church-like feel due to the high ceilings. To address this, we added a focal point in the living room with an updated stone and fireplace wall, exposed beams, and curtain panels, which helped ground the space and draw the eye downwards.

In the kitchen, custom cabinetry, beaded shaker inset cabinets, and paneled appliances were installed. Spanish design emphasizes symmetry, layers, natural materials, and warm colors, all of which are incorporated in this living room and kitchen.
