Touching story ❤️

A mailman formed an unlikely friendship with a dachshund who waited for him at the gate every day with a tennis ball.

For around five years, the dog greeted him during his route, turning a simple mail delivery into a daily game of fetch.

It quickly became one of the mailman’s favorite parts of the day.

Their bond was so special that when a substitute delivered the mail, the dog would not come outside once he didn't see his favourite human.

He only wanted his mailman.

Then one day, the mailman arrived and found the gate empty.

The dog’s owner came outside holding the same worn tennis ball and told him that the dachshund had sadly passed away.

Before putting the ball away, the owner gave it to the mailman as a final gift.

He explained that those daily visits had been one of the happiest parts of the dog’s life.

What seemed like a small routine had meant everything to the both of them.

Good morning friends. Been a while since my last post. Just been so busy trying to catch up on work. The knee surgery is progressing well!

I’ve noticed many complaining about their AC. How it doesn’t cool. So expensive. Etc! So today I’m writing about something you can do to help. Controlling humidity inside your home.

You sit outside and try to relax in the humid Houston summer. 95° and 90% humidity. It can’t be done. But go to the Hill Country, say Garner State Park. Same temps but the relative humidity is 30°. Fall asleep in a hammock and you wake up with a chill. Why? Because humidity is the key to comfort.

You can run your AC at 70° and still feel sticky if you don’t control the humidity inside your home. Take steps to reduce the humidity inside your home. For older homes it can be a battle. Warm air can enter seemingly at will.

1. Bathrooms are full of moisture. Be sure you have an exhaust fan. That it is clean and working properly.
2. Run the fan for 10 minutes after showering to remove most of the moisture.
3. Check for cracks and openings around windows and doors. If found, takes steps to seal.
4. In the kitchen, cooking will invariably produce steam. Boiling water for pasta, etc. If your stove has an exhaust fan be sure to use it.

Yall get the idea. Control humidity and you’ll lower your energy costs while feeling more comfortable!

That’s All Folks!

Happy Friday friends. Next week I have knee replacement surgery and will be sidelined for a while. But first I wanted to share this find. These rechargeable LED lights would be great for areas needing additional lighting. Plus you can easily install by yourself. You’re welcome!☺️

Today’s post is just to share some useful info. We recently relocated and needed to clean the oven as part of our exit. That chore can be a huge hassle but I’ve found that this product makes it easy. Just apply to a cold oven. Wait overnight. Then just wipe clean. Amazing!

That’s all for today! Yall stay safe.

Many of us are staying put as opposed to moving due to the crazy housing market. Home prices have risen so much over the past decade.

If that describes your situation, then make the best of it and upgrade your home. My latest customer was tired of looking at the deteriorating, vintage cedar shake siding on their garage.

Spring is coming soon (actually already here🙄) so think about your home and making it more enjoyable.

Have a great day and enjoy our beautiful weather!
