Every time I prepared to leave
for a deployment, the weeks
before departure looked the
same.

Bills paid ahead. Car serviced.
Emergency contacts updated.
A list on the kitchen counter
of everything my family would
need while I was gone — who
to call, what to check, where
to find things I handled without
thinking about it.

I was not leaving because
I didn't care about my home
and my family. I was leaving
because that was my duty.
But duty didn't suspend
responsibility. It just meant
I had to build the systems
that carried the responsibility
forward while I was underway.

Over 24 years I got very good
at that.

I carry that exact mindset

The Boldr Klima reads humidity
and controls your mini-split.
The Ecobee Premium reads humidity,
temperature, air quality, and
occupancy — and controls your
central AC. The Bulldog valve
closes the moment a leak sensor
triggers. The YoLink sensors
detect moisture and fire the
signal across their own radio
network — no WiFi required.

But here is the question nobody
asks until something goes wrong:

What if the Klima triggers Dry
Mode at 2am on a Tuesday —
who is reviewing that? What if
the Ecobee detects a temperature
