A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported my business this year, enjoyed my flowers, and showed interest in my Fall CSA Dahlia Bouquet Subscription ! ❤️ If you had a favorite color or type of flower you enjoyed most from my bouquets this year, I’d love to hear in the comments below!👇🏻

After the flooding, my replacement dahlias needed a little extra time to grow and bloom, so I wasn’t able to offer the subscription this year. While the season looked a little different than planned, I’m so grateful for your interest and support!

I’m using this change of seasons to dream about what’s next and explore all the possibilities — greenhouse or no greenhouse, or focusing exclusively on dahlias. 🌱

In the meantime, I thought you’d enjoy this beauty! This dahlia variety caught my eye this Fall. The gorgeous blend of raspberry and coral, with a hint of orange at the center and golden tips, makes for the perfect Fall transition color. 🍂😍

I hope to grow plenty of these beauties to share someday!

I hope you’re enjoying the fall colors, cooler temps, and getting a little cozy this time of year! 🍂💕

I had a bad feeling each time I bought my seed orders and dahlias last winter, getting everything ready for the spring.

I wondered what that feeling really meant. Because I knew, and still know, that the flower farm is the right track for me.

Then came a 100-year flood. 🤯

It wiped out the property. And with it, all those plans, preparations, and the investment I had made for the whole season.

The feeling wasn’t telling me I was on the wrong path.
It was telling me I was in the wrong place.
This has not slowed me down in the slightest.

If anything, it has made me more determined to rebuild, rethink, and find new possibilities. I always recreate even better, and I will with this.

Sometimes moving forward means thinking outside the box, changing the plan, and finding a new way to grow. 🌱 Thank you for rooting for me and my garden. I will miss my Tates Creek folks but I’m only 3 miles down the road now!

Dahlia CSA coming shortly!! 🌺

8 weeks ago I planted replacement dahlia tubers thanks to a very, generous and kind soul who donated extras. The comfort that brought me in such a financial loss from the Richmond flood lifted my spirits in a heavy season! 💗 8 weeks later and we have buds and the first blooms! 🌱 (Pictured current and before at planting) Before I know it they will all be blooming!
Dahlia CSA subscriptions coming soon!! Message for details to snag your dahlias this season!

Well in case you were wondering how you take down a field of flowers to move - you just do it, one row at a time! This entire field was dirt rows and flowers, just two months ago 😳

I stopped weeding after the flood and the grass started filling back in. Amazing, really.

The replacement dahlias are still on track to bloom, buds are appearing! 🤩

I have 4 new favorite celosias in the garden this year and this hot pink is☝🏻of them. Definitely saving seed!

Sharing some good news, although bittersweet! I’m moving away from the flood zone and this busy corner of town. It will be a lot better for me, and safer for my furbabies 🏠 💛

To prepare - Two things happening this Saturday!

🌸 U-Cut Flowers! 🌸$10 per flower cup. 9:30am-10:30am.

The flowers are getting CUT DOWN so come enjoy the LAST Summer blooms!

🌱 Weeding Party 8:30-10:30am, and in the evening 7pm. I’m weeding so I can plant grass seed and put the garden back to lawn.

Message if you want to come out! Or honk in support as you drive by. I may miss the honking at the new place 😆

ALSO: Dahlias ARE COMING! The buds have begun appearing on the new plants! 🌺

Waiting for the David Austen roses to mature has been worth the wait! This peach, with all her silky ruffles is easily my new favorite.

Up late making the last orders of Summer flowers is bittersweet!
