Before the hidden doors and finishing touches came the opportunity to walk through it all, at full scale! 👣📐

This behind-the-scenes look at our Buckhead Attic Renovation takes us back to Walk Your Plans North Atlanta, where our clients explored their floor plans and elevations projected at full size, helping them make key decisions before construction began.

From walking the secret passageway to watching it take shape. From laying out the golf simulator to building the lounge. From imagining movie nights to bringing the theater to life. 🥃⛳🎬

A huge shoutout to AGO Builds and Marla Harrington Interiors for bringing so much care and talent to this transformation. AGO Builds’ craftsmanship, communication, and coordination have kept the vision moving smoothly through construction, while Marla’s thoughtful selection of materials, colors, and textures gives each space its own personality. They’ve been incredible collaborators every step of the way!

Seeing those early decisions become reality is incredibly rewarding. This is what thoughtful planning and a great team can accomplish together!

A bookshelf with a secret, and an attic full of possibilities. 📚🥃⛳🎬

Our Buckhead Attic Renovation is coming to life! Step through a built-in bookshelf into an arched secret passageway leading to a paneled foyer. From there, discover an Art Deco speakeasy, complete with a hidden powder room tucked behind an operable wall panel. Grab your signature cocktail, mingle, then head upstairs to the Golf Simulator & Lounge or settle in for movie night in the theater.

Behind every hidden door is months of thoughtful planning. A special trip to our friends at Walk Your Plans North Atlanta allowed our clients to experience their floor plans and elevations projected at full scale before construction began.

With the layout approved, we worked with our structural engineer, Southern Dogwood, to determine how to support these new spaces in an attic originally designed for lightweight storage. Our fabulous interior designer, Marla Harrington Interiors, then shaped a distinct experience for each space through carefully selected materials, colors, and textures.

Bringing it all together is an amazing custom builder, AGO Builds, whose coordination and attention to input from our residential designer, structural engineer, and interior designer have kept construction running smoothly.

An early look at the possibilities for our Cartersville Renovation! 🏡✨

As we develop the first versions of the floor plans, we’re also exploring exterior materials and colors to help our client picture how their home could look and feel. This early concept rendering connects the plans on paper with a vision they can more easily understand.

There’s still plenty to refine, but each exploration helps shape the next step. Once the floor plans feel right, we’ll turn our focus to developing the exterior design.

An early look at the possibilities for our Cartersville Renovation! 🏡✨

Our design process begins with a shared Pinterest board to learn what our clients love and what they don’t. As we develop the new floor plans, we also explore an early concept for the front elevation to help them picture how the spaces inside could take shape outside.

Will this concept become the final design? Time will tell! For now, this rendering gives our clients a visual reference as we work together to refine the layout. Once the floor plans feel right, we’ll turn our focus to developing the exterior design.
