It was an eventful day for us out at Apache! The testing continued for the bait I’ve been working hard on, and it generated some of the biggest opportunities of the day. I still have a few small tweaks to make, but it’s getting closer!

My dad caught the first walleye I’ve ever seen come out of Apache. I’ve heard about them being in there, but this was the first one I’ve seen in person!

All in all, not a bad day on the water, and it feels like we may finally be getting close to some good fall fishing!

We ended our Colorado River trip with a solid morning session!

I’ve kept it relatively quiet, but for the last several months I’ve been working relentlessly on developing my own bait. This trip was focused solely on putting it through its paces in some of the most extreme conditions we have on our waters.

I’ve always been extremely detail oriented, so I’ve set the bar high for the metrics I’m looking to achieve. I want this bait to check boxes that others simply can’t.

That being said, the bait performed extremely well, and I’m very happy with the initial results! This trip showed me where I still need to make improvements, but more importantly, it proved the bait gets bit!

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but I’m looking forward to sharing more as it continues to progress.

Havasu played much better today! When this one bit 3 minutes into the morning I knew we would have a fun day! We spent the day targeting new areas and had a good time breaking down the lake. It’s crazy how big this place actually is and how much more there still is to discover. Tomorrow we are going to bounce down to Parker to see how the smallmouth are biting!

If you aren’t rebuilding a critical piece of equipment in a Walmart parking lot is it even a fishing trip? Day 1 started off at Martinez. The water was dirty and the bite was tough so we are bouncing up to Havasu to give that a go tomorrow. Shoutout to my Stealth Batteries for keeping us going when the generator decided it didn’t want to.
