Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. 💚

There is something meaningful about having a day dedicated to su***de prevention—a day to honor those we have lost, to remember them, and to continue talking openly about this complex and deeply important issue.

Su***de has personally impacted my life multiple times. My first loss happened when I was just 14 years old. It’s a loss that stays with you and a reminder of why these conversations matter.

So today, spread the word. 💚
Light a candle in honor of someone you’ve lost.
Check in on someone you love.
Keep the conversation going.

And if you’re struggling, please know you don’t have to face it alone. Help is available.

Call or text 988. 💚

From tiny seedlings to a little garden that actually fed us!

Watching this garden grow has been one of my favorite parts of this summer. What started as a small raised bed turned into fresh veggies, lots of learning, a few surprises, and so many memories.

And then came the harvest… ❤️

Not perfect. Not huge. But ours—and I’m pretty proud of it.

Here’s to growing, learning, and trying again next year! 🌱

Nothing says fall is coming quite like the smell of something baking in the oven and a simmer pot bubbling on the stove. 🍂🥧

Warm, cozy, and basically a hug for your whole house. 🤎

And the best part? You probably already have most of what you need!

My go-to fall simmer pot:
🍎 1 sliced apple
🍊 1 orange, sliced
🌿 2 cinnamon sticks
✨ 1 tsp whole cloves
🌟 1 tsp allspice
💧 Water to cover

Simmer on low and add more water as needed. Never leave it unattended!

What smell makes your house feel like fall? 🍁

New gardener here… what am I supposed to do with my garden before winter?!

I’ve learned so much from my little raised garden bed this year, but now I’m wondering… what am I supposed to do to get everything ready for winter in Zone 4b/5a?

Do I cut things back? Leave them alone? Add mulch? Pull everything out? Plant something for next year? 🤷‍♀️

What should I be doing now?
What can I leave until later?
What should I plant this fall?
What should I leave for the pollinators?

Experienced Zone 4b/5a gardeners—help this newbie out!

What’s one fall, preparing for winter gardening tip you wish someone had told you your first year?

Four months of growing in one little raised garden bed, and I’ve learned A LOT.

I’ve learned that:
- More plants doesn’t always mean more food
- Watering consistently matters
- The garden will always throw you a surprise
- Cucumbers WILL hide from you
- Some things thrive… and some things just don’t
- And honestly, you learn the most by just doing it!

This was my first real attempt at growing a raised garden, and I’m already making notes for next year.

What’s ONE thing you learned from your garden this year? 👇
