Wrapped up our end of this job yesterday! Here's a recap of everything done. Mike Briggs took care of all of the underground plumbing. The Concrete Specialist prepped and poured our slab. We framed the (16'x33') new addition on the rear of the residence. The new sq footage will serve as a vaulted living room, with a gas fireplace in the center, laundry/utility room, and new master bathroom. We custom framed the entire roof, matching the existing overhang, pitch, and planing with the existing roof. Fred Tackett is finishing up the finish roof work today. Ritchie Pridemore relocated the main overhead incoming power. We removed the two windows from the back wall, installed a new window fl**ge, and reinstalled them on the new structure. We also installed the new glass/blinds steel door. Once under roof, we built a false wall in the kitchen to support the bearing trussed wall, removed the studs/windows, and installed an LVL to carry the roof/truss load. Which ultimately created a beautiful open concept kitchen and living room! We then framed a new floor in what was once an existing single car garage. The floor was framed to match the new and existing floor heights, so the entire floor will all be on the same level....NO transitions!! 😁 Lastly, we added a new walk-in closet space to what will serve as the master bedroom now!! This was a fun project done for absolutely great people!! Enjoy!!
