This bedroom needed to make room for four bodies: my clients, their giant Ibizan Hound (who is not allowed on the bed, but somehow always finds his way up there), and a Maine C**n who considers the entire room his personal kingdom, morning and night. 😂

The goal? Warm tones, layered textures, and nothing too precious. This family needed a retreat that felt beautiful without being too delicate for real life.

That meant choosing fabrics that could stand up to a big dog, creating a layout that feels calm at the end of a long day, and making sure there’s a sunny spot on the bed that’s practically reserved for the cat’s afternoon nap.

Flat Lay Friday 🤍

Before a house becomes a home, it starts here: textured wallpaper, colorful tile, wood tones, all laid out and lived with before a single thing gets installed. This project is drawing from the original 1920s home on the lot, so every piece has to earn its spot, adding character without fighting the bones that are already there.

What's been inspiring you lately?

Behind the scenes of install day 🏡

Every single piece had to go up a flight of stairs to get into the home, furniture, rugs, light fixtures, all of it. That kind of install takes real coordination: protecting the stairwell, sequencing what goes up first, and making sure nothing gets scuffed on the way.

It went smoothly (cue the sigh of relief), and now I'm counting down to get back in there for final touches. There's something so satisfying about watching a space go from boxes to a finished room.

Can't wait to show you the reveal soon 👀

Color doesn’t have to mean bold, and timeless doesn’t have to mean neutral.

The key is choosing shades, textures, and finishes that work together to create a space that feels intentional, balanced, and true to your style.

When color is thoughtfully incorporated into a room, it adds depth, warmth, and personality without overwhelming the space.

Your home should reflect the way you live and what you love, not just what feels safe.

Working with a designer helps you make thoughtful choices that you’ll love for years to come.

Flat Lay Friday ✨

By now, you know I take my samples seriously. Almost annoyingly so. I need to see the actual swatch, from the actual lot we’ll be receiving, next to every other material before I sign off on a single thing.

Here’s why: color can look completely different in your home than it does on a screen or in a showroom. Texture tells me how a material will feel and wear over time, and seeing everything together allows me to make sure each element works in harmony with the rest of the room.

Because the best designs aren’t just beautiful on their own. Every detail has to work together to create something even better than you imagined.

Install days are a lot of moving parts, but they’re also one of the most exciting parts of the process, because this is when everything finally starts to come together.

Our team works hard behind the scenes to make sure that when you walk into your finished space, you see the vision come to life.

This is what's running through my head every time I walk into a room, before anyone else even notices there was a decision to make. The cabinet color, the hardware finish, the counter edge profile, the lighting temperature, where the sightlines land from the hallway. None of it is an accident.

This is not to overwhelm you. With my clients, I go stage by stage so it stays exciting instead of exhausting. But pulling back the curtain on how many decisions are actually baked into a room that just looks "put together" from the outside, is how I let my clients in on the process.

One of the many ways your interior designer triple-checks the details so everything turns out just right.

This is called a cut for approval — a small piece of the actual fabric is cut and sent over so we can confirm that the fabric looks the way we expect it to based on the original sample before moving forward with the full order.

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes steps you may never know is happening, but it’s exactly what makes the design process feel seamless.

A good interior designer isn’t just choosing pretty things. We’re checking, coordinating, confirming, problem-solving, and catching the little details before they become big (and expensive) problems.

That’s the part of the process you’re hiring us for, too.

Becoming a mom didn’t distract from my work. It made me better at it. 🤍

Surprisingly, my motherhood journey has only helped me in my work as a designer, and I’ve found the skill set has quite a bit of overlap.

That’s what I’m building, for your family and mine.
Ready to make your house feel like that too? Let’s talk. 🏡
