Too cute! Great for all those scraps! The color schemes are endless! Hawkeye black and gold, Iowa red and gold, Christmas, Halloween, or coordinate with the quilt you're already making! Love this!! ❤️

Self-binding is a nice shortcut when you don’t want to cut and sew a separate binding strip.

You simply use the quilt backing itself to wrap around the edges and create the binding. Fewer pieces to cut, less sewing, and it works especially well for smaller quilts, placemats, and similar projects.

The part that needs a little more attention is the corners. I like them to look clean and properly mitered, not bulky.

I show the whole self-binding method step by step, including how I make those corners. Full tutorial in the first comment.

Love this! Definitely will be trying it out! ☃️🎄

Old jeans, a little patchwork fabric, and some simple stitching turn into rustic Christmas stockings with loads of farmhouse charm. 👖🎄✨

Looking forward to getting back into my sewing room now that school is starting next week. My granddaughters have been fun and it's all gone by too fast. Lots of accomplishments inside and out, but yes, I'll be using fabric I already have!!
