16 surgeries. EIGHT of them last year alone. And somehow, this one feels different. 💓

For the first time, I gave myself a week before sharing an update. Not just to let my body heal, but to give myself time to process everything I’ve been through.

What I didn’t expect over the last year was that losing my breast again would actually teach me how to feel whole. I went from being terrified of how my body looked to wearing fitted dresses and declaring it “The Summer I Decided I Don’t Give a F*ck.”

I’m now one week out from what I REALLY hope is my final reconstruction surgery. I’m healthy, I’m healing, and I’m cautiously optimistic. But the biggest difference this time is that I know I’ll be okay no matter what happens.

I wrote about all of it in my latest Substack—the surgeries, the setbacks, the scars, and the unexpected freedom of finally accepting my body.

And while I know better than to declare victory too soon… I have to tell you, I think I’m going to win this one. 💓 xx C
