Chef Enrique Olvera’s modern Mexican restaurant has been a fixture of New York’s dining scene for more than a decade, known for adventurous dishes and a fresh take on familiar flavors. As The New York Times put it, “Most of all, the cooking is a thrill, largely because it sails right over ideas like tradition, authenticity and modernity.”

Developed specifically for Chef Olvera, the Conical Bowl has become a staple of the restaurant’s table settings. Its shape is especially suited to dishes like aguachile, keeping the ingredients and their marinade gathered at the bottom of the bowl until the very last bite.

Our collaborations with museums and arts institutions go back to the very beginning: More than 20 years ago, Jono Pandolfi received his first commission from the Museum of Modern Art for the reopening of Terrace 5 Cafe and Cafe 2, setting the business in motion.

Today, we’re continuing our partnerships with arts institutions with Oberon, the New Museum’s first full-service restaurant, bringing together food, art, and design inside the museum’s new Bowery expansion.

For the capsule, we created an exclusive four-piece Classic Espresso Bundle in Dark Brown clay with an eye-catching Shiny Green glaze, finished with Oberon’s custom stamp.

We wanted to give a little love to our friends at .nyc, who just got an excellent feature by Eater NY.

Chef Daniel Humm’s new West Village restaurant is full of details worth lingering over. From the roving martini cart and wood-fired focaccia to Rashid Johnson’s paintings and Francesco Clemente’s mythical ceiling murals…there’s plenty to take in.

We worked with the Humm team on a series of custom dinnerware shapes for the opening, all of which hand-glazed and fired in our Union City studio. 

After over 20 years of working with the team behind Eleven Madison Park, it’s especially exciting to see this next chapter come to life together and to continue to have a place at their tables.

Congrats to Daniel and the whole Humm team on the well-deserved shoutout. 🥂

Welcome to Handle Town, Lori’s corner of the studio. She smoothed out our Coffee Cups and attached each handle by hand.

Wally smoothed out the rough edges on our viral Fish Trays 🐟

Kangee cleaned up a batch of our Orange Ombre Share Plates before their final firing.

Reynaldo glazed our White Salad Plate. These are a restaurant staple and part of our signature 4-Piece Place Setting.

P.S. They work for just about anything on the menu.

The warehouse team worked overtime to get your favorite pieces packed up and out the door!

Zack applied the red exterior glaze to our Square Sided Ramekins and took extra care to keep the
white interiors clean.

This process is especially tricky, which is why pieces with exterior glazes are often available in very limited quantities.

Paige and Maeve from Hero & Beauty Prop Rental stopped by for a little studio shopping for The Culinistas. They pulled a colorful mix of pieces for their upcoming styling and photoshoot projects.

We can’t wait to see what they create!

Natasha Pickowicz has to be one of Brooklyn’s greatest dinner party hosts, so we were pretty excited to spot some familiar pieces in Vogue’s latest feature on her approach to summer entertaining 🥂

Back in 2023, we teamed up with Natasha () on a Special Edition inspired by the cover of her cookbook, More Than Cake. Now, our Coupe Serving Bowl and Large Oval Platter are making an appearance on her table once again.

Her approach to hosting is pretty much our idea of a perfect dinner party: no strict start time, no set menu, friends bringing extra friends, and a table that’s anything but matchy-matchy. In other words, just let the night unfold naturally.

A peek inside the studio this week  👀

Reynaldo put one of our studio tricks to work and used a small wheel to give our small accessory bowls an extra-precise cleanup with the sponge.

Over in the Cafe Collection section, Lori, Shana, and Robyn were keeping things moving. Shana and Lori hand-attached handles to Mugs and Coffee Cups, while Robyn smoothed out a fresh batch of Tiki Cups.

Kangee was in the spray booth working on Toasted clay + white glaze pieces (yes, those are from The Bear Collection 👀).

We celebrated Anna with a baby shower at the studio, and shortly after, she welcomed Aurora into the world. Sending warm wishes to Anna and her growing family! 

Judiah, Chris, and Tyler, our three-person warehouse dream team, held it down all week. 

At the trimming station, Olivia was putting the finishing touches on our Coupe Share Plates.

Our new kiln, Peggy Hill, officially fired up our October Special Edition: VIP Collection, and everything came out beautifully. Just look at those Wild Cherry red Tikis 🔥

Breanna and Aleks were deep in quality control. Here they are giving our Dark Brown + white glaze Entrée Plates and Fry Bowls a careful once-over.

Miranda and Billy spent the week getting the warehouse restocked, reorganized, and ready for our October Open Studio Sale.

What started with one wheel and one kiln has grown into a team of artisans producing more than 1,200 pieces a day for 800+ restaurants worldwide, all from our 30,000-square-foot studio in Union City, NJ.
