It’s KAL time!

It’s been far too long since I’ve hosted a KAL and so I’m very excited to launch this one! So get ready and mark your calendars and let’s hang out and gift knit together! 🥰

The Merry Little Knitters KAL will run from November 1st to 29th, and will replace my annual 12 Days before Christmas KAL this year.

The KAL is for my one skein or less shawlette and scarf patterns. There are almost a dozen to choose from!

Lots of great yarn prizes from Emma's Yarn Four Purls Yarn Shop , Yarn Culture Jill Zielinski MYak Fibers and lichen and lace and lots of pattern prizes too! 🎉

I know most of you have at least one of these patterns in your pattern library. But just in case, there’s 25% Off all the KAL patterns between now and midnight November 1st with code MLK25.

Swipe through to see some of the patterns and there’s a link in my bio to see them all.
Happy gift planning! 🥰

I’m so excited about this! I’ve started working on my second Riptide Raglan sweater and I’m completely in love with this scarlet red!

I’ve never made a red sweater for myself and I’m thinking this is definitely going to be my Christmas jumper this year. Are you a red sweater fan? I’m thinking we all need a splash of red in our wardrobe to up the ante! 😉

Have a wonderful happy knitty weekend! ❤️

Pattern: Riptide Raglan - currently in testing
Yarn: Scout in Red by Kelbourne Woolens

Seafield Concho

Are you “cape-ing” it this autumn?

They’re back! Ponchos, capes and wraps were hitting the catwalks here in New York a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be the layer of the season! 🍂

This is the Seafield Concho and it’s part of my Sea collection of patterns.

Named so because it offers you both a cowl and a cape / poncho design in one pattern.
It’s full of addictive squishy simple texture, so you won’t get bored. Each section is super easy to memorize - just sequences of knits and purls!

Our air is rapidly getting cooler by the day, so I’ve just dug mine out for a little airing and will be cozying up in it soon.

Happy autumn! 🍂

I’m quite beside myself to be sharing this with you today!

I’m so excited to give you the first look at my latest design, the Riptide Sweater. Yes! It’s finally ready to hop into its test knitting phase.

This sample uses Sol by Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk that I initially picked up on holidays last year in Norway after a huge hike in Flåm. Of course, I didn’t buy enough yarn at the time (yarn bulging suitcase already) so I purchased more from Wool & Company here in the U.S. I’ve already cast on my second using Scout from Kelbourne Woolens in a lipstick red and I’m completely in love! ❤️

If you’re interested in test knitting this, be sure you are signed up to my test knitting newsletter. There’s a link in my bio. I will be sending out a test call by the end of the week. Hope you like it! 🤍

Ripples and Rain..

1 skein - 2 little beauties

The pattern is now live!

It all began on a holiday trip to the Maritimes and Newfoundland, Canada, this past summer. I’ll never forget the day I cast on at Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse 🩵

Ripples and Rain is a scarf and shawlette duo of patterns, using only 1 skein of yarn to make both. It features your favorite Riptide stitch pattern that encapsulates elegant pointelle lacework.🩵

Please enjoy a 20% discount using code RandR 🩵

Pattern: Ripples and Rain can be found on Ravelry & Payhip. Links above in bio.

Yarn: 1ply Eco Fi*****ng lichen and lace 🩵
