Ingredients:

For the Steak Fajitas:

1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, thinly sliced

1 large green bell pepper, sliced

1 large red bell pepper, sliced

1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

For the Savory Rice:

1 1/2 cups long-grain white rice

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup tomato sauce

2 1/2 cups chicken broth

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Directions:

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain well.

Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the rice and stir for 3 to 4 minutes until lightly golden.

Stir in the garlic, tomato sauce, chicken broth, cumin, and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes until the rice is tender.

Remove from heat and let rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and stir in the fresh cilantro.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced steak with chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Toss until evenly coated.

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak in batches for 2 to 3 minutes per side, adjusting for thickness and desired doneness. Transfer to a plate.

Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Add the bell peppers and onion. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes until softened with lightly caramelized edges.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and scrape up the flavorful browned bits from the skillet.

Return the steak and its juices to the skillet. Toss everything together for 1 to 2 minutes until heated through and coated in the savory sauce.

Spoon the fluffy seasoned rice onto serving plates and arrange the juicy steak fajitas and colorful peppers alongside it.

Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve warm.

Tips & Variations:

For extra tenderness, slice the steak thinly against the grain and avoid overcrowding the skillet.

Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice just before serving for a brighter, fresher flavor.

For a little heat, add sliced jalapeños or a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes.
