When I painted Settle, I wanted to give the dog the same importance as the room around him. The chair, curtains, and afternoon light establish the place; his presence gives it the feeling.

On a journal, that painting becomes something to reach for each day. The cover has a smooth matte finish, and the ruled pages lie flat while you write, leaving both hands free to do something more useful than wrestle with a notebook.

A place for reading notes, a few thoughts before breakfast, or the details you’ll be glad you remembered. Settle is available with the artwork alone or an optional personalized cover.

A holiday mailing can hold a whole year’s worth of connection: a note to extended family, news for faraway friends, a thank-you to the people who helped your business along.

Glad Tidings pairs a gold-ornament oil painting with space for a printed greeting, family update, or handwritten words on the back. Its featured greeting is ready to use in pine-green script; closings, wording, fonts, and colors can also be personalized.

These are flat 5x7 cards with white envelopes, available in sets of 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100. Matching ornament envelope seals are available separately through the card listing.

You may recognize the feeling before you notice the details: a dog resting nearby, entirely content to share the room with you.

That companionship is what I wanted to capture in Settle. Then come the pleasures of the room itself—the celadon chair, floral curtains, blue-and-white lamp, and sunlight falling across the floorboards.

The painting now appears on a small hardcover journal, with a coordinating slate-blue back. It’s a place for daily thoughts and reading notes, or a gift for someone who will understand immediately why the dog belongs on the cover.

Choose the artwork as it is, or add a name or short phrase for $5.

Make a cup of tea. Bring out the address book. Think of someone you’ve been meaning to write to.

There’s pleasure in giving a holiday greeting a little time—and in receiving something you can hold, reread, and leave on the mantel.

Winter Bloom & Laurel features a celadon ornament, ivory blossoms, and winter greenery against deep blue-green. These folded 5×7 cards come with white envelopes and your choice of a blank interior, a selected greeting, or your own printed message and closing.

A Christmas wish, a New Year’s note, or a few words about the year you’ve had: there’s room to make it yours.

If you were choosing your holiday card today, which direction would feel most like you?

Perhaps something quiet and luminous, like Window Stories. A floral design with depth and elegance. Penguins in coral skates. Cats who occupy richly colored rooms—or go sledding with questionable judgment. A winter walk shared with a faithful companion. Magnolias carrying a wish for abundant joy.

The Barky and Bookish Holiday Collection brings these different stories together through original artwork and personal correspondence. Every folded 5 × 7 card can be left blank, finished with an illustrated seasonal greeting, or personalized with your own message, closing, colors, and font. White envelopes are included, with sets available from 5 to 100. And matching envelope seals are available in the shop.

Which card would you choose?

I like the idea of a winter sweatshirt that can come along for the whole season: out for a walk, into the kitchen for another cup of coffee, and back to a favorite chair at the end of the day.

Poley has just that sort of life in mind. Her cream polar bear illustration is available on six sweatshirt colors, including this Navy Blazer.

The sweatshirt runs small, so I recommend ordering one size larger than your usual size. There’s a full measurement chart in the listing to help you choose comfortably.

Which would you reach for—one of the soft colors, or a deep blue or green?

A gift for someone who loves dogs, flowers, and having a place to put their thoughts.

Amelia’s expression is the heart of this artwork: attentive, self-possessed, and quite comfortable on that patterned seat. I’ve brought her to a small hardcover journal that can accompany a reader’s current book, a writer’s daily routine, or an animal lover’s everyday plans.

Inside the beautiful cover are 128 pages of 90 gsm paper. Choose ruled pages for tidy writing or blank for drawing or any purpose. The 5 × 7-inch format is easy to carry.

The journal is $42, with an optional name or initial on the cover for an additional $5.

Choosing the picture for a holiday card is one pleasure. Finding the words that belong inside it is another.

I’m now offering custom lettering compositions for your own greeting and closing, with colors and an arrangement chosen to complement the card artwork. This example pairs Winter Bloom & Laurel with a message of appreciation—a lovely direction for a small business sending its year-end thanks.

The $30 design includes a proof, one round of minor revisions, and a finished digital PNG. If you also purchase Barky and Bookish cards, I’ll place the approved design in their layout before printing. Printed cards are purchased separately.

What kind of joy would you wish for someone in the year ahead?

Holiday Bounty carries the message:

“Wishing You a Great Bounty of Joy
This Year & Always.”

I like that it reaches beyond one holiday or one December moment. Joy might mean celebration, but it can also mean good health, renewed hope, peaceful days, laughter, creativity, or more time with the people someone loves.

The card reproduces my original magnolia artwork and can feature the illustrated Bounty greeting, remain blank for your own words, or be personalized with a custom message, closing, colors, and font. Each folded 5 × 7 card includes a white envelope, with sets available from 5 to 100. And matching envelope seals are available in the shop.
