24x14 of Trex Enhanced decking. Westbury aluminum rails in chocolate. Horizontal skirting wrapping the base.

No wood to stain. No rails to repaint. No boards to replace in five years.

This is what low-maintenance actually means β€” not cutting corners on the build, but choosing materials that hold up so the homeowner doesn't have to keep putting money into it.

The aluminum railings give it a clean, modern look without sacrificing strength. And that skirting isn't just cosmetic β€” it finishes out the underside properly and keeps things looking right from every angle.

We've been building decks like this in Central Virginia since 1989. Over 1,300 built. Every one framed right, finished right, and built to last.

If your deck needs replacing β€” or you're starting from scratch β€” give us a call.

Composite treads. Westbury C10 in White. A front porch that finally matches the rest of the house.

This homeowner didn't need a full rebuild β€” just the right work done the right way. We resurfaced the porch decking, tore out the old stairs and rebuilt them solid, and installed Westbury C10 aluminum railing in White for a clean, low-maintenance finish.

No more peeling paint on old wood rails. No more soft boards underfoot. Just a front entry that looks good and holds up.

The stairs are tight. The railing is straight. The details are dialed in. That's what we focus on β€” the stuff that makes a project feel finished, not just done.

We've been building like this since 1989. No shortcuts. No band-aids.

Thinking about your front porch or stairs? We'll give you an honest answer on what it needs. 434.260.4033

Trex Lineage Carmel boards. Westbury aluminum rails in black. A wraparound that stretches the full length of the house.

This is what happens when homeowners are done sanding, staining, and watching their old wood deck fall apart piece by piece.

The Carmel color was a smart pick here β€” lighter tones stay cooler underfoot when the sun hits, and it complements the neutral siding without washing out. The black Westbury rails add contrast and a clean edge that wood railings just can't match long-term.

But what you're not seeing is what matters most. Under those boards: properly spaced joists, solid ledger connections, and a frame engineered to carry this deck for decades β€” not just pass inspection.

We've installed over 1,000 decks since 1989. Every one of them starts with the structure. Because if the frame isn't right, nothing on top of it matters.

Built to last. No shortcuts.

Carmel-toned Trex Lineage boards running the full length of this back deck.

Paired with Westbury black aluminum railings, this build has the kind of contrast that makes both the deck and the house look sharper.

Here's what went into this one:
β†’ Trex Lineage in Carmel β€” rich color, realistic wood grain, zero staining forever
β†’ Westbury aluminum rails in black β€” won't rot, won't fade, won't need replacing
β†’ Lattice skirting for a clean, finished look underneath
β†’ Proper ventilation below the deck to protect the frame long-term

This homeowner wanted something that fit the wooded lot and didn't require a maintenance checklist every spring. Done.

We've built over 1,000 decks since 1989. Every one of them starts with solid framing and the right materials for the setting.

No shortcuts. No guesswork. Just work that holds up.

Stamped concrete, dark aluminum rails, and a screened porch β€” stacked on top of each other and built to work as one.

This project had a lot going on. Upper level: screened porch with new screens and a ceiling fan for airflow. The deck wraps around with fresh dark railings and clean composite stairs. Underneath: a waterproofed under-deck system that keeps the lower level completely dry.

And at ground level β€” a stamped concrete patio with broad steps leading out to the yard. No wasted space.

The framing, the drainage, the materials β€” everything was planned so each level supports the next. That's what it takes when you're building vertically like this. You can't cut corners on the structure and expect it to hold up.

This homeowner went from an underused backyard to two full levels of outdoor space they'll actually use year-round.

Built to last. Done right the first time.

Stamped concrete patio, new deck, aluminum rails, and re-screened porch β€” all one project.

This is what happens when you handle the whole outdoor space instead of piece-mealing it together. Everything connects. Everything matches. Everything's built on solid structure.

Breaking down what you're looking at:
β†’ Composite decking β€” no staining, no splinters, no annual maintenance
β†’ Black aluminum railings β€” clean look, zero upkeep, built to last
β†’ Fresh screening β€” keeps bugs out, lets the breeze in
β†’ White trim and posts β€” sharp contrast against the dark deck and rails
β†’ Wooded backyard view that actually gets enjoyed now

This porch went from something that was there to something they'll actually use every evening.

We don't just build structures. We build spaces that hold up and get used.

19 by 17 feet of Trex Biscayne decking sitting on solid framing with a Capital railing system in white vinyl and black aluminum balusters.

Look at what's happening underneath β€” that's what makes this build different.

A full under-deck drainage system channels every drop of water away from the lower level. Below that deck sits a 19x17 stamped concrete pad that stays completely dry. Two outdoor spaces from one structure. No wasted square footage.

The details on this one:
β†’ Trex Biscayne composite decking β€” zero maintenance
β†’ Capital railing system β€” white vinyl with black aluminum balusters
β†’ Under-deck ceiling and drainage
β†’ Clean fascia and trim work
β†’ Properly sized structural posts
β†’ Gutter and downspout tied in to move water away from the house

Nothing about this build was rushed or shortcut. It was engineered from the footings up and finished clean.

This is what 35+ years of building decks looks like in practice.
