Houseplant Hacks with Ayden: Grow Without a Pot
Want a new way to display your favorite houseplants? Try kokedama.

This Japanese planting style involves growing a houseplant in a ball of soil and moss—no pot required. Display your finished kokedama on a dish, set it in a decorative bowl, or hang it up like a living ornament. They're easy to care for, as long as you know how.

Join Ayden on Saturday, November 7th, as he shares the secrets to kokedama. Learn how to build and grow these special plants, then take home a finished kokedama, along with all the know-how you need to get started.

Saturday, November 7 – 10 a.m.
$40 – All materials included

What’s a parklet? It’s a small public space that invites visitors to hang out, chat, read a book, or enjoy a coffee. The new Campustown Parklet near Bradley University opened last week, and we were glad to donate plants for the celebration. If you're in the area, stop by and see it for yourself! You'll find it at 1200 W. Main Street in Peoria.

Which tree would our grower choose for fall color? Ernie, who manages our Green Team, has a favorite: Fall Fiesta sugar maple. Its fall color gets more impressive as it matures. If you've had a tree on your wish list, now is a great time to stop by and see the fall color in person!
