Dusty dirty environments can make it past your filters (or if you don't run a filter, it's there for a reason!) small particles can get into your carb and keep it from working effectively. This carb had a piece of trash in it and allowed it to dump fuel into the crankcase. If not caught in time, this will cause bearing wash and completely wreck an engine. If you have a fuel shutoff, use it!

80% of my work comes from using ethanol fuel in small engine equipment. If left to sit, ethanol will break down and gum up, preventing your equipment from running.

Even though I enjoy working on your equipment, do yourself a favor and pay $1 more per gallon for ethanol free fuel in your small engine equipment, quads, mowers, blowers, etc!

Stihl has started advertising "when it stops running, replace the filter." Do yourself a favor and continue maintaining your equipment by blowing the filters out!

Replacing when not running is a recipe for disaster and will lead to more costly repairs down the road
