We are absolutely thrilled with the results of this simple bathroom updo!

All it took was replacing the existing mirror with this beautiful gilded Pagoda-style frame and adding this exquisite scenic wallpaper from Brunschwig & Fils to make this powder room truly sing.

We also carefully selected curated artwork and a stunning gold sconce to complete the look.

At Putney Interiors , we take pride in working closely with each client to find the exact pattern and color that expresses their internal design aesthetic.

The small details make all the difference, and we think this space feels curated and cohesive.

A breathe of fresh Aquidneck Island air.

We are so excited to share this recently completed bedroom design project in beautiful Middletown, Rhode Island. Our clients wanted a serene, inviting retreat that captured the essence of Rhode Island coastal living,
and this light-filled space is exactly that.

We started with a refreshing sky-blue on the walls and warm, wide-plank wood flooring to ground the room. The design is all about layers of texture and curated patterns:

Custom Upholstery: That unique, flame-stitch patterned headboard makes a vibrant statement, balanced by the classic paisley and white matelassé bedding.

A Nod to the Sea: Framed seahorse and lobster art (with that classic deep blue matting) adds playful, maritime decor elegance. The unique driftwood mirror is a textured showstopper!

The Details that Count: We love mixing vintage and new—from the classic blue and white ginger jar lamps to the custom pattern-mix on the side chair. And how about those custom Roman shades featuring a fresh geometric pattern?

Creating luxury coastal interiors in RI is all about finding that perfect balance of comfort, pattern, and the relaxed elegance of the Ocean State.

Whether you are looking for a complete Newport county home renovation or a thoughtful bedroom redesign in Middletown, Putney Interiors is here to bring your vision to life.

In this serene bedroom retreat, design continuity is everything. Putney Interiors used Creeping Fern Print in Slumber Blue—a gorgeous abstract, feathery print—as the grounding foundation to tie the entire room together.

Notice how the soft blue and white pattern seamlessly travels throughout the space:

The Headboard & Accent Pillows: Establishing a tailored, serene backdrop right as you enter the room.

The Accent Armchair: Bringing that same soft texture into a cozy reading nook.

The Bench & Layered Details: Repeating the soothing blue tones to unify the sunny yellow walls, exposed wood beams, and textured rug.

When custom upholstery carries a single, breathtaking fabric throughout different pieces, it creates a quiet rhythm—making a large, vaulted space feel intentional, layered, and deeply peaceful.

Simple, elegant, and filled with sunlight!

Christine recently wrapped up this sun-drenched living room for a client in Middletown, Rhode Island, and the result is the ultimate coastal retreat. Designed around a balance of relaxed comfort and refined detail, every element brings effortless warmth to the space.

Design Highlights:

Custom end tables and bespoke painted lamps by Modern Design + Construction add unique craftsmanship and character to the seating area.

Escape to the lake? Don’t mind if we do. 🪵🌊

As the travel itch sets in this time of year, everyone starts dreaming of their perfect getaway. While some flock to the beach, others know there is absolutely nothing like the magic of a classic American lake day.

We are so excited to share a peek inside this gorgeous’ compound designed by .interiors , situated right on the water at Lake Winnipesaukei In New Hampshire.

Spanning 2.5 stunning acres, this unique property is affectionately known as “Barber Pole Point.”

💈 The name is a nod to a long-ago resident who was a barber—and if you walk down to the end of the dock, you’ll find an old-fashioned barber pole standing tall as a beautiful homage to the history of the land.

Inside the residence and its cottages, the interior design embraces a timeless, traditional aesthetic . We styled these spaces to feel elevated yet deeply personal, seamlessly incorporating the family’s cherished heirlooms—from ancestral paintings to stamped silver—ensuring every corner tells a meaningful story.
