Every respectable witch needs a cauldron. 🫧🧙‍♀️

Before Patricia ever took up residence at the top of our stairs, there was the Bubbling Cauldron.

I made her last Halloween from a simple black cauldron and a whole lot of iridescent “bubbles”—because apparently, in my world, even witch’s brew needs a little sparkle. ✨

Some bubbles escaped over the sides. Some appear to have developed eyes. 👀
We do not ask questions.

She came back out for another season this week and has taken her place in the dining room, where she is bubbling away quite happily while Patricia presides over the house from above.

No, she isn’t for sale. She’s one of those pieces I made simply because an idea wandered into my head and refused to leave.

And yes, this is what I mean when I say I can exercise restraint.

I could have added a witch. I didn’t. 😇

Patricia has left the studio. 🧙‍♀️✨

After waiting patiently in the wings for someone to take her home, Patricia has decided she simply cannot spend the entire season in her dressing room.

So she has accepted a limited October engagement at the top of our stairs—where she can properly greet visitors, show off that ridiculous sequined hat, and keep one eye on the bubbling cauldron downstairs.

She would like everyone to know that this does not mean she is off the market. Patricia is still available for adoption and would happily abandon us for the right home. She has no loyalty whatsoever. 😂

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Renée Boudreaux. 💜💛

Renée was born with purple in her veins, gold in her jewelry box, and “Callin’ Baton Rouge” already playing somewhere in the background.

She is not what one would call understated.

Dressed in LSU purple and gold, Renée is layered with glitter, shimmer, tulle, Tiger spirit, and enough sparkle to be seen from Death Valley.

And make no mistake—Renée knows Death Valley. She knows what happens on a Saturday night when the lights come on, the band plays those first notes, and Tiger Stadium starts to roar. She knows that in Louisiana, football isn’t merely watched. It is felt.

Every little nook holds something—ornaments, LSU treasures, a football or two, and, tucked among all that new sparkle, one very special gold ornament that hung on my own Christmas tree when I was a child.

Because around here, we don’t just make pretty things. We tuck stories into them.

And because she is a Flamonica Designs original, somewhere in all that purple-and-gold foolishness is a flamingo. I assure you, she’s there. Finding her is between you and the flamingo. 🦩😂

🎭 CASTING CALL: PATRICIA SEEKS HER NEXT STARRING ROLE 🎭

After a long and somewhat demanding stay at Flamonica Studios, Patricia, The Storyteller Witch, has made her debut—and she is ready for a new stage.

Patricia is the eldest soul of the Three Witch Sisters: elegant, sophisticated, quietly magickal, and just dramatic enough to make certain you notice when she enters the room.

As Patricia herself would tell you:

“Darling…I don’t arrive. I make an entrance.”

At approximately 32 inches in diameter, Patricia is no shrinking violet. She is dressed in layers of shimmering purple mesh and orange tulle, a traditional black witch’s hat with sparkly blusher, glittering spiders, purple berries and black satin roses. Her signature peek-a-boot sends a burst of magick spilling into the room, and—as with every original Flamonica Designs creation—a flamingo is tucked into the story.

Patricia is completely handcrafted and one of a kind. There will never be another Patricia.

She is now accepting auditions for her new home and next starring role. She would be equally comfortable greeting guests from a front door, presiding over a foyer, or holding court somewhere indoors where she can be properly admired.
