To the DIYers,

This is the correct way to sheetrock around a shower. Butt your sheetrock up to the nail fl**ge. Do not overlap it. Fill the gap with hot mud. Hot mud is far less susceptible to moisture as well as filling all gaps for a nicer, more clean finish. Here we used a fiberglass tape (mold resistant) and finished off with 4, 5 and 6 inch joint knives.

Some recent work that I’ve done.. Jordan’s Meat Market in LeMars. This job included drywall finishing as well as painting. The 12 ft walls were a challege but we got it done! The ceiling texture is a crows foot knockdown that really pops with the semi gloss paint. If you haven’t been in the new store yet, go check it out- and dont forget to treat yourself to a package of the best beef sticks around!
