🏛️🎨 175+ YEARS OF MARGARETVILLE HISTORY — AND THE RRC TREATMENT
If these walls could talk… they’d probably have a hell of a story. 📜
The buildings that make up The Commons on Main Street in Margaretville trace their roots back to the mid-1800s, with one portion associated with a general store operating here as early as 1849.
For generations, this property has been part of the changing face of Main Street — from old-time merchants and the Margaretville Department Store to the galleries, artists, craftsmen and local businesses that occupy The Commons today.
Fast-forward roughly 175 years… RRC showed up. 😎🎨
And this old monster got some love.
🧼 We power washed the vinyl exterior and soft washed the rear to kill off the mold and organic growth that had accumulated over the years.
🪵 Decks were cleaned up and clear coated to protect them and bring the wood back to life.
🚪 Doors and rear windows were prepped and refinished.
🔨 Damaged trim was repaired instead of simply being painted over.
💡 Even the can lights were refinished because the little s**t matters too.
🪜 The big metal staircase out back went from tired and weathered to looking DAMN near new again, and that beat-up old oil tank got brought back into the program too.
But then there was the Main Street storefront… 👀
That's where we gave this old girl the full RRC treatment. 🎨🔥
Those decorative brackets, dental work, trim profiles and all the little architectural details you barely notice from the street?
We noticed them.
Multiple colors. Tight lines. Detail brush work. Working off scaffolding in the middle of downtown. Taking an old commercial storefront and making all those little details POP again instead of burying them under another quick coat of paint. 🖌️🏛️
And all of this while businesses stayed active and Main Street kept moving around us.
This wasn't one giant dramatic transformation.
It was a hundred smaller transformations spread across one BIG ASS building. 😂💪
We were so busy banging this monster out that we didn't take nearly enough pictures, but the ones we did get tell the story.
There's something different about putting your hands on a building that's been part of a community for well over a century. You're not building something that'll be gone in ten years.
You're taking care of something that was here long before you — and hopefully will still be here long after you. 🏛️⏳
Proud to put the RRC name on another piece of Margaretville history.
🔥 BIG BUILDING. BIG HISTORY. BIG MONSTER VIBES. 🔥

🩷💛🩵 THIS ONE HITS A LITTLE DIFFERENT. 🩵💛🩷
Usually when RRC wraps up a project, we get to hand the keys back, take some pictures, and move on to the next one.
Not this time.
This time we got to help build the beginning of something pretty damn special. ❤️
What started as a quiet, neutral space has officially gotten some LIFE — soft colors, bold colors, a whole lot of personality, and of course those stripes because apparently somebody in this family had to give the painter a challenge. 😂🎨
But the biggest transformation isn't what's on these walls.
We finally get to share some news with our community…
🌈 J’S LITTLE TRIBE IS COMING TO ROXBURY, NY! 🌈
Opening September 2026, J’s Little Tribe will be a new local daycare created by someone I couldn't be prouder of — my girl. ❤️
Watching her take an idea, put the work behind it, and turn it into a real place where local kids are going to learn, play, laugh, make friends and grow has been something special to watch.
And being trusted to put the RRC touch on the place where she's starting this next chapter?
Yeah… this one means a little more.
We repaired it.
We prepped it.
We painted it.
We striped it.
We added some serious color. 🎨🔥
But she's the one who's going to fill it with life.
Roxbury, meet J’s Little Tribe. 🩷🩵💛
Coming September 2026.
Go show the new page some love, give it a follow, and stay tuned — because the paint may be finished, but this place is just getting started. ❤️

🏡🔥 Monster house. Monster transformation. 💪🎨

This beast got the full RRC restoration treatment from start to finish. 🫧 We kicked things off with a full soft wash to remove years of dirt, mildew, and surface contamination before diving into the prep work.

🔨 Extensive prep
🪚 Trim repairs
🪵 Damaged boards replaced
🎯 Every problem area addressed the right way—not the easy way.

😅 Then came the gauntlet of HVAC systems. Tight access, awkward angles, and obstacles everywhere. Definitely not for the weak. 💨🪜

🎨 We wrapped it all up with TWO full finish coats, leaving this monster looking better than it has in years. 💯✨

👊 Anyone can paint a house. We believe the real craftsmanship is in everything that happens before the paint goes on. That's what separates a repaint from a restoration.

🙌 Huge thanks to our customer for trusting RRC Painting with this incredible project!

🏔️💪 Time to protect the BEAST! 💪🏔️

We're out here giving this massive log home a fresh coat of clear exterior weather repellent to keep it protected from the harsh mountain weather while letting the natural beauty of the wood shine through! 🌲✨

This isn't just a quick spray and go. Every section is being coated, worked in, and inspected to make sure the wood gets the protection it deserves. 🏠🔍

Projects like this are why we love what we do — big homes, big challenges, and results that help preserve these incredible properties for years to come. 🔥

🔥😅 NOT EVERY PROJECT IS FOR THE FAINT OF HEART 😅🔥
This one was an absolute MONSTER of a project. 💪🏡
✅ Restored and refinished 16 sunroom windows ✅ Removed, prepped, and painted 12 screens ✅ Rebuilt damaged soffits ✅ Reworked and refinished extensive trim details ✅ Countless hours spent on the roof and difficult access areas 🪜 ✅ Front elevation siding restoration and repaint ✅ Full prep, sanding, priming, caulking, and finish work throughout
The pictures don't do justice to the amount of work packed into this project. The sunroom alone became a project within a project. Between restoring 16 windows, painting 12 screens, rebuilding soffits, tackling roof work, and bringing the front elevation back to life, there wasn't much of this house we didn't touch. 😅
This is the kind of project where the details make all the difference. From the prep work nobody sees to the finished product everyone notices, every step matters. 🎯
At RRC Painting, we're not interested in simply covering things up. We focus on restoration, proper preparation, quality materials, and craftsmanship that stands the test of time. 🏆🎨
A huge thank you to our clients for trusting us with their beautiful home and allowing us to bring it back to life. 🙏

🌲🏡 Took this cabin in the woods and gave it the kind of refresh it deserved 🔥
Started with a full power wash to strip away the years and get everything clean and ready. From there, we handled all the prep work the RIGHT way—because paint is only as good as what’s underneath it. 💪🎨
Brought it back to life with a bold Black Forest Green 🌿🖤 — one of those colors that shifts with the sunlight and gives the whole place a different vibe depending on the time of day. Morning hits different, sunset hits even harder ☀️🌙
Finished it off by sealing the deck with a clear waterproof coat so it’s protected, looks sharp, and is ready to handle whatever the seasons throw at it 🌧️❄️☀️
Not just painting houses… we’re restoring character and protecting investments. That’s the difference.

We’ve been plugging away at this one off and on while the weather did its usual wild winter-to-spring mood swings 🌦️❄️☀️
Sanded everything down, hit it with primer, laid down fresh paint on the entrance and front door, power washed the porch, and finished it off with a few solid coats of our favorite porch sealer 🔥🏡
The little details make the biggest difference—and this place is coming back to life one step at a time 💪
Also… blessed to have my favorite little helper on site ❤️🎨
