I told Emmett I had an idea for the cabin loft— I don’t think he was expecting a 13 foot wall-to-wall headboard.

I wanted the bed to be the focal point of the loft, while adding soft layers. We went big on the headboard and kept the bedding relaxed and simple. My tried and true European linen sheets, bed skirt, and duvet from Quince were the perfect finishing touch. I’ve used this same set in all of our bedrooms... it never disappoints.

I think we just created the coziest sleeping spot in the cabin. What do you think? You should see it in the evening with the lamps dimmed and soft backlight! Follow along for part two... we still need to finish the other side of the room.

This is coastal design done right— and one of my favorite home tours I’ve shared this year. Marie Flanigan Interiors and Jeffrey Dungan absolutely nailed the timeless, collected aesthetic I love so much. This gorgeous home on the marsh is one to scroll this morning.

The millwork, antiques, kitchen, and that incredible pool house! There’s a lot you’re going to want to save and zoom in on. I shared the full tour on the blog, along with a fun Q&A with Marie. Comment KIAWAH and I’ll send you the link. Definitely one to bookmark!

I just found my new go-to warm white paint color… save this one!

In order to choose the best warm white paint color, I pulled lots of BEHR® Paint swatches for our cabin bedroom, and BEHR Cottage White 13 was the obvious winner. It has the softness I wanted to break up all the wood without feeling yellow, stark, or too modern. We used it to color drench the walls, built-in, and bed. I already know I’ll be using this swatch again!

Comment PAINT and I’ll send you my full guide for choosing the best BEHR white paint colors, how to pick sheen, plus more of my tried and true BEHR swatches. Full reveal coming in part two!
