Cooler weather doesn’t mean pool care stops.
As we move into fall, pools may not be getting used as much, but leaves, debris, changing temperatures and water chemistry can still create problems pretty quickly.
Staying on top of the pool now helps keep the water clear, the equipment protected and prevents a bigger cleanup later.
Pool season may slow down, but good pool maintenance is year-round.

Small parts can turn into big problems.

This chlorinator O-ring was badly worn and ready to fail. It may not look like much, but a deteriorated seal can lead to leaks and eventually a much more expensive repair.

Catching little things like this during routine service is part of taking care of the entire pool system, not just the water.

In this case, a simple O-ring replacement took care of the problem before it became something bigger.

Another startup almost complete.

This beautiful pool was built by High Definition Pools , and we’ve been handling the startup process from the fresh fill forward.

A proper startup is about more than making the water look good. It’s about carefully managing the water chemistry during those important first days and helping protect the new pool finish.

We don’t always vacuum pool steps.

A lot of the time, brushing them first is enough to move light debris down into the pool where it can be picked up.

But when this much sand settles on the steps, we take the extra time to vacuum them directly.

That way, we know we’re actually removing it instead of just moving it around.

Every pool is a little different, and our service adjusts to what that pool needs that day.

One of the perks of working around La Vernia every day is getting to know more than just our customers—we get to know their dogs too. And apparently, pool service occasionally includes a mandatory game of fetch.

We’ll keep the pool clean. They’ll keep us supervised. 🤝

One of the most common questions we receive before starting weekly service is: “How long will you be at my pool?”

The honest answer is that every pool is different.

A smaller, straightforward pool may take around 25 minutes. A larger pool—or one with heavier debris, additional features or more demanding equipment—can take considerably longer. This pool, for example, normally takes between 45 minutes and one hour.

We don’t base the quality of a visit on how quickly we can leave. Every pool must have all steps of our quality-service checklist completed, including testing and balancing the water, cleaning baskets, checking the equipment and vacuuming every week.

When the work is complete, our customers receive the chemical readings, completed checklist and a final photo from the visit.

The time may vary. The standard does not.
