Imagine a love story measured in harvests. 🎃🤎
In 1976, they stand in a pumpkin field, holding something they grew together. Their hands are young. There’s soil on their clothes, and a whole lifetime still ahead of them.
Perhaps they talk about what they’ll plant next spring. Perhaps he insists that next year’s pumpkin will be even bigger. She laughs, and they hold it a little tighter for the photograph.
Then come fifty years of ordinary days.
Early mornings. Muddy boots by the door. Good harvests and disappointing ones. Small disagreements over where to plant things. Two cups waiting on the kitchen table after the work is done.
Now it’s 2026. Their hands have changed, and lifting that pumpkin takes a little more teamwork. But there they are again, standing close, smiling in the middle of a field.
Looking at these two moments, it’s easy to imagine what happened in between: a thousand quiet reasons to keep choosing each other.
Who would you want beside you, fifty harvests from now? 🌱

Key Tips for Successful Composting
Chop Materials Small
Cut larger vegetable stalks, woody garden clippings, and cardboard into pieces smaller than 2 inches (5 cm). Smaller surface areas allow bacteria and fungi to break matter down significantly faster.
Layer Carefully
Alternate thin layers of green and brown materials, finishing every new deposit with a top layer of browns to trap moisture, prevent foul odors, and deter flies.
Turn the Pile Regularly
Turn or mix the heap with a garden fork every 1–2 weeks. Aeration introduces oxygen, which fuels aerobic bacteria and keeps the compost hot and sweet-smelling rather than sour.
Monitor Moisture Levels
The compost pile should feel like a wrung-out sponge—damp to the touch, but not dripping wet. If it dries out, sprinkle light water over it; if it is soggy, mix in dry leaves or shredded cardboard.
Know What to Exclude
Keep meat, fish, dairy, cooking oil, pet waste, diseased plant foliage, and invasive perennial weeds out of standard backyard bins, as they attract pests, create rancid odors, and risk pathogen spread.
