Red Rooster Ranch We are a small family farm located in the rural suburbs of Los Angeles. We raise our children and animals here on our little slice of heaven.

Red Rooster Ranch is home to a variety of animals. We have Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, chickens, quail, rabbits, bees and several family pets. We believe teaching our children (and ourselves!) about raising our own food. Our farm is an integral part of our unschooling program where our kids are growing up with real responsibility and opportunities for hands-on learning.

Yesterday was such a great day!

Natalie (Natalie Red Rooster) came for a visit, and we had a wonderful time catching up on our way to Jennifer’s (Hidden HIlls Nigerian Dairy Goats) to play musical goats. We had an amazing lunch and spent probably way too much time laughing, talking, and enjoying each other’s company. But sometimes that’s exactly what you need!

Then it was back to my house to AI my last two does of the year. And boy, am I glad Natalie was there to help! Tempo decided she was going to be a complete stinker and was NOT interested in cooperating. I definitely needed those extra hands!

Good friends, good food, lots of laughs, and a little goat drama. Pretty much a perfect day in my book!

Goat friends! We are fundraising for our daughter's missions trip this summer and I'm offering my goat classes at a reduced price, $80 each or $150 for both, and all of the money raised will go to her trip!

Each class is 10 one-hour recordings of me teaching about how we have raised our goats for over 15 years! (No coupon needed, the prices have already been discounted from $100 each.)

She will travel to Guatemala where she will work with women who have escaped human trafficking and are now looking for a better life. She will be teaching them life and work skills to find restoration, healing, and independence. The end goal is to provide the women an opportunity to support themselves and their children.
