Day 29

Replacing your kitchen oils for better health

Replacing highly processed oils like canola and vegetable oil with high-quality olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil can provide healthier fats, beneficial antioxidants, and less refined nutrition. Olive and avocado oils are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, while coconut oil contains MCTs that can be used as a quick source of energy. Because the fats we eat become incorporated into our cell membranes and fat stores for months or even years, choosing higher-quality oils may have a lasting impact on overall health, inflammation levels, and long-term wellness.

Day 12

Are the candles you are burning, hurting your body?

Swapping artificial scented candles for beeswax candles with essential oils creates a cleaner, healthier home environment. Conventional candles often release synthetic fragrances and petroleum based chemicals that can irritate the lungs, while beeswax burns clean and even helps neutralize indoor air by releasing negative ions. Adding pure essential oils provides a natural, gentle scent without the chemical load. Beeswax candles also last longer, burn brighter, and support a more sustainable, toxin free home.

We are so honored to be highlighted in 7 Mahers Homesteading Farm Store’s September Swaps!

This past year has been such a learning experience as we have gained more and more knowledge about indoor air quality. What started off as a funny “hey Stephanie…do you have” has turned into a whole crazy business! 😂
Before starting this adventure, I thought all candles were created equal. Now I know better and we will never go back to using artificially scented candles that use petroleum products in our home. Yes, they are a little more expensive, but I also get to enjoy some of my favorite scents (candles and wax melts) without worry which is such a blessing!
Thank you, Stephanie for building a community that believes in natural products for our homes and lives and… for inspiring myself and Sherri to jump into another sister project together ♥️

First & Foremost, my husband Seth and I, along with five of our eight children live and breathe this homestead and lifestyle— each of us with our own niche. Our oldest (at home), Savannah— is our incredible sourdough baker, but she’s also highly talented in painting (.88 on insta) and jewelry making ( on insta)! The littles pitch in where they can!
