Seeing double at The Design Center! 👀🎃 Vickie came as Austin, April came as Jon, and the resemblance is scary good. 😂

Who wore it best—the originals or the Halloween editions?

Happy Labor Day from all of us at The Design Center. To the builders, installers, fabricators, and tradespeople who turn selections into finished homes across the Ark-La-Tex — today is yours. Thank you for the work you do.

The showroom is closed Monday, September 7. We're back Tuesday at 101 Forest Lake Drive — ready to help with whatever project is next.

Five collections, one wood door line.

We carry DSA Doors, hand-assembled in Raleigh from color-matched Meranti Mahogany, Knotty Alder or acetylated Accoya.

→ Signature — ten styles homeowners have chosen most over two decades. The Oconee is knotty alder, 6-lite true divided light, single or double, 6'8" or 8'0".

→ Traditional — classic iron and leaded glass on arched or square-top openings. Where to start when the surround is brick or stone.

→ Modern — clean lines and large glazed openings. Carlo, Flores, Luca, Milan, Urban.

→ Slimline — 48 full-view styles on 3½" narrow stiles in acetylated Accoya.

→ LUXE Pivot — nine pre-engineered styles plus bespoke, on FritsJurgens System M+ hardware.

Then five things you choose on top of the collection: glass, panel profile, handleset, finish, and size. Slide seven has all of it in one place — save it for the day you spec yours.

Which collection fits your front entry?

Most people read every label in the grocery cart, then grill over whatever bag was stacked by the register.

Standard briquets are held together with binders and bulked out with fillers — that's the smell in the first ten minutes, and some of it lands on the food. Jealous Devil skips all of it: carbonized hardwood, nothing added. lump when you want a ripping-hot sear. Flex briquets when you want the same burn every time. Hex and Onyx when the cook runs overnight.

Slide 8 is the lighting order, worth saving before the weekend.

Intarsi Warm by Vallelunga & Co. — Italian porcelain drawn from the old art of inlay, the original Intarsi geometries recast in soft, velvety tones. Eight patterns named for the ancient world, in 24×48 with a Satin 3D finish that holds light instead of bouncing it. Slip-rated, so the pattern can run underfoot too. It reaches the States through Rickert Tile, and in this region it lands on one showroom floor — ours.

A little Old World character can add a lot of personality to a space.

Amber is showing off a new tile collection from Rickert featuring detailed patterns, beautiful marble looks, and a soft satin texture. With sizes ranging from 2x2 mosaics to large-format 24x48 tile, there are plenty of options for both walls and floors.

Stop by The Design Center at Red River Lumber and see the collection in person. Our team can help you find the right look for your project.

This is BPI Prestige engineered European white oak, new on our floor. It comes in more than 15 colors, and every one of them is created by a fuming process — the boards are smoked, and the longer they stay in, the more gray comes through the grain.

The planks are wide. 9½" and 10¼", which is what you want in a great room, an open kitchen, or anywhere a narrower board would make the space feel busier than it is.

Photos don't do fumed oak justice. Come see the full color range in person
