Words cannot express the gratitude for the love & support that was bestowed on our family last weekend.

Thank you to all involved with the event, all the families--English & Amish alike--volunteers, donators, and the most amazing women I have had the pleasure to know--Amanda Weaver O'Neil, Tiki Kahle, and Leigh Black. We live in an amazing community, in large part to these 3 ladies along with countless others.

Our lives have been forever changed, but out of this tremendous loss came an outpouring of love that will also never be forgotten.
The words thank you will never do justice to how I feel but I've been left speechless by all of this; from the bottom of our hearts--THANK YOU.

PLEASE support local business. They are the ones who care about you as an individual, the ones who will help pick you back up when you've lost all other hope.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, we have many, many things to be thankful for this year🧡

My unenduring gratefulness to the Weaver, O'Neil, DeLay, Kahle, Stepp, Krieger & Saylor families, and everyone else who made such a memorable day possible.

I will never be able to convey my gratitude to our community of Knox, our customers, family, friends, and strangers. The outpouring of love and support has been tremendous. Thank you for reaching out and caring for us, feeding us, and praying for us.
You have all reflected on us the love and generosity that Ryan exuded, and for that reason it means all the more.
I will try to thank you individually as I am able but know now that the fact that he's touched so many lives and that they have returned his kindness means the absolute world to us.

Ryan David Brown, 40, of Knox, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept 26, 2024.

Ryan leaves behind his legacy of a deeply loving father, adoring husband, and an all-around outstanding gentleman.

Ryan traveled out west in his youth, taking on adventurous outdoor professions including camp counselor, fly fishing guide, and naturalist. He later pursued fire academy in California and became a wild land firefighter for both the forest service and CalFire.

He met his soul mate Mary Preisel in 2011 and they chose to move to their home state of Pennsylvania to live closer to their tight-knit family and start their business, BrownBark Tree Service. Ryan was a superior climbing arborist and has left behind hundreds of squirrel carvings throughout the area, BrownBark's trademark mascot.

He and Mary were married June 24, 2017 in Cook Forest and spent many amazing years in love with traveling and one another. Their romance was one of storybook fantasies.

He is survived by his dedicated wife Mary, the apple of his eye, son Alder, cherished daughter, Scarlett, beloved mother Linda Brown, sisters Jenni and Deanne Brown, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and possums.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis and Annabelle Kirkbride.

Ryan had an adventurous soul and lived every breath to its fullest. To know him was to love him. He had only smiles and laughter for everyone he met, never complained, and was always excited to take on a new challenge. He brought joy to all he knew and will be gravely missed far and wide.

Condolences are more than appreciated in this time of immense grief. We would love to hear all your stories of your experiences with Ryan and his adventures. Mailing address 246 North St Knox, PA 16232

In lieu of flowers, donations to the children's educational fund would bring peace of mind. Thank you to all our family, friends, and customers for the joy and happiness you've brought to our lives. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date and announced here.

We'll call this one, "Dizzying Heights". That's a two-story house this monster is towering over.

Thank you to all the hard workers whose blood, sweat & tears keep our country going. Have a safe, well-deserved long weekend, everyone!

Sad to see this one go, but it was starting to come down on its own. Great shot of Ryan making his way up.
