I believe that it's important to love your home. I'm here to help you create an intentional home.

A beautiful space to enjoy is expected when working with me, but it's imperative that your home functions and supports your daily lifestyle.

When your kids borrow your printer paper for art and then put it back in the printer... This cute surprise on my drawings I'm printing for today's meeting cracked me up! 🤣❤️

We just added this dual motorized shade to my client's room so they could enjoy their TV without glare while also adding the final touch of warmth to the room!

Selecting the perfect cabinet door style is important when looking at the overall design of a space. The cabinet lines should coordinate with the overall aesthetic.

Are you leaning more modern? The cabinet doors should be sleek.

If you're more traditional, perhaps the cabinets have more of a profile.

Don't forget about the the crown moulding - This too, can change the overall vibe in the kitchen.

Take a look at these handrails/spindles. First of all, it's not cohesive, but there's a wood handrail on one side, overlapping the wrought iron.

These handrails are getting a facelift!! Swipe to see the in-progress photo. What a difference just new handrails/spindles can make!!

This kitchen has come a long way and still has ways to go . . .

We've not changed a ton in regards to actual layout of the kitchen, but the function is much more efficient AND it's going to look much more current ;-)

We have CUSTOM mushroom upper cabinets with warm, stained alder base cabinets

More to come soon!

The "in-progress" is mostly NOT fun!! However, when a space transforms like this, it's totally worth it!!

Stay tuned for more of this one!!

As we head into the holiday season, if you're considering a future kitchen remodel, now is the time to pay attention to how you're using the space.

Are you running all over the kitchen because things aren't where they should be?

Do you have 20 spatulas in the drawer and you actually only use 2?

Do you have counterspace that you need for the annual cookie baking or are you always struggling for workspace?

Are you constantly pulling out the step stool to get to things in cabinets that you need more accessibility to?

Is your pantry too deep to even functionally use the space in it? Are you able to get to the back of the shelves without removing all the stuff up front?

How much time does it take to plan a kitchen remodel - I'd say to give yourself at least 3 months for design intent, final drawings and bids. Then, it depends on the contractors availability before the cabinets arrive. Then it's demo which means NO kitchen for a period of time while the prep happens - the electrical, plumbing and all the fun stuff behind the walls. Then the cabinets finally arrive and there's still more work to be done... eventually its close but you're waiting on the countertops to arrive and the final appliances to be installed. It's a long process but SO worth it!

This client has been patiently waiting for this remodel to get moving!

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

So many of our lives have been touched by someone who has had breast cancer. I usually refrain from speaking about stuff like this but as women it's so important we prioritize our self-care. So many women put others needs first and leave our needs for later.

What spaces do you have to rejuvenate in? Where do you go to fill up your cup?

Having a place you can rest, let your guard down and receive is so important.

Where is your place?

Sometimes it's easier to see the "real" completion photos. The ones with the clothes in there as the space is ACTUALLY being lived in and used, rather than these photos showing the empty shelves. Day to day, the spaces need to FUNCTION while looking nice and pulled together. It's unrealistic to expect perfectly color coded, organized minimal closets. Here's the REAL before and after. The lived-in space, not the pretty one we staged for photos.

Warm gold, honey bronze, browns, camels, taupe...

This is what I'm seeing more and more of these days.

Need a new paint color? Obviously, it's not just as easy as picking anything off the paint desk, because you need to confirm how the color works with all the other things in the room.

If you're looking to change your room from grey to something warmer. Check out the colors in this fan deck spectrum which are some of the most common colors I've selected for new homes this year.
