Got a call to do some services on 4 machines as some were long overdue and did them around other jobs while they were not being used to avoid down time. Crazy how the price of filters and oil has climbed but the alternative of not servicing is always much higher.

Just a small sample of some of my road and shop jobs in the first few months being independent. Am experienced in a wide variety of issues on many types of equipment. Feel free to reach out as I’m both mobile and have a shop for repairs in Center Barnstead.

In the pictures there is a clutch job, frozen internal brake pistons, EGR cooler replacement, resealing a control valve, diagnosing a stuck motor, starting issues on tractor, master cylinder rebuild, quick coupler overhaul, starter and seat replacement, service, welding a blade after bending it back in shape, rebuilding brake canister , resealing brake and hub assembly on wheeled excavator and changing accumulators and sensors. One of first big jobs in my new shop and glad I just moved my gantry a few days before as it came in handy.

Town’s EW160 had front hub seals leaking caused by failed brake seals pressurizing the hub. The whole hub and the inner parts all come out to expose the seals to replace and clean all parts. All final drive oil was changed as it needed it bad as it seems it’s one of those items that gets neglected far too much and the alternative is much more expensive.

Wow , been a bit since I’ve posted but been too busy so that’s a good thing! But I wanted to share a few jobs since breaking off on my own. One of the latest a week ago I will call the hoses from hell on an older CAT 966D lol. They were relatively easy to get to but the breaking of 6 bolts from being very old and rotted and the ensuing extra parts that had to come off made this a bueaty!

Took off parts until I had all the broken bolts on them so I could extract and clean everything in my shop quicker and cooler as it was in the mid 90’s. I’m getting old for this 🫣.

All hardware, seals and hoses from CAT and machine back up and running for weekend work!
