An old IKEA desk, but make it custom.

This desk had definitely seen better days. The surface was worn, tired, and ready for a refresh, so instead of replacing it, we gave it a complete makeover with Stone Coat APEX Polyaspartic Countertop Coating.

That’s one of the best parts about refinishing. You can take an older piece of furniture and completely change the look without starting from scratch.

That’s a wrap on the Texas Woodworking Festival.

What a weekend. Live demos, new products, great conversations, giveaways, and a whole lot of creativity packed into two days.

We loved getting to meet so many woodworkers, makers, creators, and longtime Stone Coat supporters in person. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth, watched a demo, asked questions, shared your projects, and spent part of your weekend with us.

And a huge thank you to the Texas Woodworking Festival for having us. We’re heading home inspired, grateful, and already looking forward to the next one.

We had to try it, and it WORKED.

At the Texas Woodworking Festival, we mixed Real Milk Paint Co pigments* and APEX Poly White Countertop Dye with APEX Polyaspartic Countertop Coating and the results were seriously good. The color was rich, the blend was smooth, and APEX handled it beautifully.

We love testing new ways to customize APEX, and this combo opened up even more possibilities for creating bold, one-of-a-kind countertop designs.
