Jobsite update. Before the first piece of James Hardie siding goes on the wall, the entire layout gets mapped. We use a laser level to verify every line, corner, and transition down to the millimeter. A clean, durable exterior relies on a perfect baseline. Getting these measurements dialed in now ensures the final siding assembly performs exactly the way it was engineered to in the Northwest weather. Nothing rushed. Just precise prep for a lasting result.

Getting an exterior remodel quote shouldn't feel like a high-pressure sales pitch. It should be a clear, practical planning session.

During the design and quote phase, our goal is to figure out what actually makes sense for your structure and your budget. As Mandy noted in her Vancouver review, our team takes the time to answer questions and provide honest insight into which design ideas are cost-effective and which ones aren't.

We do not push unnecessary upgrades. We collaborate with you to evaluate your home and engineer a realistic, long-term plan. Whether you are ready to start a project tomorrow or just mapping out a phased approach for the future, a proper consultation removes the guesswork.

Modern exteriors leave absolutely no room to hide. For our fifth James Hardie Design Week entry, we are showcasing a facade defined entirely by precise geometry and clean architectural lines.

When an exterior design relies on large-scale grid layouts, the installation has to be flawless. Every seam, corner, and transition must align perfectly to maintain the visual rhythm of the home. But getting the geometry right on the surface is only half the job. Behind those clean lines, the building envelope has to be properly sealed and flashed to keep moisture out.

We combine exact installation methods with serious waterproofing protocols to ensure a modern home like this doesn't just look striking on day one, but continues to perform and protect the structure year after year. It takes careful attention to the details you see, and even more attention to the ones you don't.

Before a luxury home is ready for the Clark County Parade of Homes, the structure beneath has to be sound. At StraightLine Exteriors, we are partnering with Genesis Homes to ensure this custom build is protected long before the final finishes go up.

Craftsmanship goes deeper than the surface. The building envelope is the most critical phase of any new construction. Applying the proper weather barriers and executing precise flashing details are what keep moisture out and protect the structure for decades. When premium custom home builders need to ensure their projects perform as flawlessly as they look, they rely on our technical expertise.

We handle the exact technical ex*****on so builders can focus on the vision. Stay tuned to see the final exterior transformation as we get this property ready for the parade.

Clean design relies on stable materials.

For exteriors in the Pacific Northwest, Clear Western Red Cedar is a dependable standard.

The Custom Stain shown here isn't just an aesthetic choice; it’s a functional layer that preserves the wood while highlighting the knot-free grain. A tongue and groove profile provides tight fits and allows for seamless transitions from a vertical wall into a porch or entry soffit.

This configuration is intelligent and provides great protection. When maintained properly, Clear WRC is naturally resistant to moisture and decay and is engineered to protect structures for decades.

Precise installation matters. This is about material knowledge and ex*****on that ensures the structure performs beautiful season after season.

A sharp exterior relies on a solid foundation. For this James Hardie Design Week entry, we paired dark Milgard windows with James Hardie Architectural Panels in Fine Sand. The Fine Sand finish delivers a clean, smooth aesthetic that handles the Northwest climate better than traditional stucco.

But premium materials only do half the job. The connection between your windows and siding is exactly where moisture tries to get in. By installing the Milgard windows and Hardie panels together as one complete system, we ensure the flashing layers overlap correctly. It takes the guesswork out of the building envelope and keeps the structure completely protected year after year.

James Hardie® Design Week Entry #3

At this Camas residence we used Architectural Collection Panels to deliver a clean, contemporary aesthetic that stands up to the Pacific Northwest climate.

Building on the Columbia Palisades means preparing for higher wind and heavier rain. In high-exposure areas like this, proper waterproofing and high-performance siding aren't just design choices—they're essential.

Hillside homes take the full force of Northwest weather. Combining proven installation methods with reliable materials creates a strong defense against moisture, reducing long-term upkeep and protecting the home day after day.

The result is a high-performance exterior built to handle the PNW climate. Premium craftsmanship. Proven performance. StraightLine Exteriors.

For this second James Hardie Design Week entry, we are showcasing a symmetrical modern exterior executed in the Portland area. The design depends entirely on precise ex*****on to maintain its quiet authority. We used James Hardie Architectural Panels in Fine Sand to achieve a flawless, smooth aesthetic that standard stucco applications cannot replicate.

Precision partnerships yield exceptional results. For our James Hardie Design Week submission, we are showcasing this Ridgefield build executed in collaboration with Cascade West Development. High-end custom homes require an exterior envelope that performs as flawlessly as it looks.

This facade demonstrates a sophisticated multi-material ex*****on. We integrated Hardie Architectural Panel in Seagrass with matching batten board elements to anchor the entryway, seamlessly transitioning to Hardie Plank lap siding on the main body. This configuration is more than an aesthetic choice; it is an engineered weather-resistant barrier built to withstand the Pacific Northwest climate for decades.

When premium builders need to ensure their clients' investments are protected by state-of-the-art waterproofing and precision craftsmanship, they rely on our technical expertise. Uncompromising durability meets modern, design-forward aesthetics.
