Five thousand square feet, turned over for one day. That is the whole idea, and it is a big one: a showroom that is usually built slowly, over weeks, rebuilt overnight for the holidays, with fresh greenery, candles lit, and furniture, pottery, salvage and lighting that none of us can bear to part with until somebody carries it out the door. One day, four hours, and then it is gone.

Oh yes, we’re already planning all the holiday decor.

Join us on November 7th from 10 AM to 2 PM in Ventura as European Frump Presents Wrapped in Vintage: Ventura Holiday Market.

The whole space gets dressed for the season, fresh greenery, candlelight, and vintage finds in every corner, and it is one of our favorite days of the entire year.

Here's the part people love about this one: it lands before anyone has decorated. Come find your pieces now, take them home, and enjoy them for the whole season instead of just the last few weeks of it.

Carved and hollowed out by hand then left outdoors for nature to weather it's beauty. Imperfections are not damage, they are the very element that makes each piece unique.

We’ve got a really exciting guest on 9/12!

Sheila Donohue, sommelier and founder of Ventura based Vero (https://www.verovino.com/) which curates hard to find, small batch artisanal wines and specialty foods from artisan farmers around the world, will be pouring and sampling Vero’s hidden gems at European Frump’s Harvest Vintage Market on September 12th between 10am-2pm. Come and excite your palate while you shop!

We had a photographer in the showroom this summer and we finally get to show you the results.

This is the space the way we see it, in the quiet before an open day, before the crowds and before the price tags go on.

We will be sharing these all through the fall. Thank you to Public 311 Design, a mother and daughter team who understood the vision from the very first frame.

Our next open day is Saturday, September 12, 10 AM to 2 PM, at 3669 Arundell Circle in Ventura. Free admission and free parking, as always.

Stone remembers everything.

Water worn edges, chipped corners, surfaces softened by a century of hands and weather. These antique marble basins and carved troughs just arrived, and they carry the kind of age you can’t manufacture. They’re the heart of the showroom this week and they’re all here for tomorrow’s market.
