Mianba Productions presents In Sight and Sound: Live De(a)f Poetry The motivation behind Mianba Productions to present In Sight and Sound is to bridge the gap between hearing and deaf communities by bringing a unique and diverse group of ten artists together to perform their poetry accompanied by DJs while interpreted in American Sign Language and spoken word.

Auditions for In Sight and Sound Poetry

Attention: Poetic Artists
Auditions for In Sight and Sound

When: Sunday, September 9th, 2012
10am to 4pm

Where: Gallaudet University
800 Florida Ave. NE, Washington, DC.
Student Academic Center (SAC) in the multipurpose room.

Auditions are for artists from deaf, hard of hearing and hearing communities. We are searching for 10 very talented artists for a production on Sunday, November 11th, 2012 at
Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, MD.

Audition Requirements:
Headshot & Resume or Bio and Two Poems (2 mins. each).

Judging Criteria:
1) Content and quality of work, 2) Stage presence and delivery of work, 3) Originality, and 4) Overall appearance of artist.
