Looking forward to teaching this class! This is one of my favorite garden topics. I‘ll go over purpose, process, and plants to think about when incorporating a rock garden. After a little PowerPoint, we’ll get out in the garden and look at 2 or 3 examaples of rock gardens- should be fun! Check out details in the link if interested.

Looking for a garden style with more texture, structure, and low-maintenance plant possibilities?

Join Ben Pick for Crevice Gardens, Rock Gardens, and Xeric Plants, an indoor/outdoor class exploring how these atypical garden styles can add topography, plant density, and visual interest to the landscape.

Miyabe Willow (Salix miyabeana) is a weaver's dream! Each year this willow species grows 8-10 ft of gorgeous dark red, straight, sparsely branched stems. Miyabe willow is beautiful in the landscape and also generates tons of material that can be harvested for creating living or wattle fences, arbors, and other garden structures, or to be used in basketry. Propagating this one as we speak! We should have about 50 ready to sell in a month or two.

Another great plant sale next weekend! Now that we're finally getting some rain and the cold weather is past it's a nice time to get some plants in the ground. Hope to see some of you all there.

The bees swarmed today but luckily landed right nearby and we got to catch them and stick them in a hive box we had waiting empty just in case of this exact scenario. A successful Sunday so far!
