🔥 From the garden to the smoker—this is what backyard cooking is all about. 🥩🌽🌶️🥬
This entire meal was built from scratch using fresh ingredients, homemade seasoning blends, and plenty of patience.
The centerpiece was an American Wagyu brisket, injected, wrapped with rich Wagyu beef tallow, and smoked low and slow until it developed a deep bark, incredible bark, and sliced like butter.
The rest of the spread was just as memorable:
🌶️ Homemade bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers stuffed with a creamy cheese filling and smoked until the bacon was perfectly crisp.
🥬 Garden-fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños picked just before dinner for a crisp summer salad.
🌽 Sweet corn on the cob.
🥬 Homemade creamed spinach.
🥦 Grilled Brussels sprouts cooked in Lodge Cast Iron with butter and my own homemade seasoning blend until perfectly tender with caramelized edges.
🌿 Finished with my homemade Peruvian green sauce (Ajà Verde)—a creamy, fresh, and slightly spicy sauce that brought everything together. It’s the perfect complement to brisket, vegetables, and just about anything off the grill.
🧂 Every dish was seasoned with my own homemade spice blends, crafted to let the quality of the ingredients shine.
Everything was cooked on my Weber Searwood XL 600 pellet grill, alongside my Collectors Edition Simpsons Weber Kettle, with the Brussels sprouts finished in Lodge Cast Iron.
For me, barbecue is more than cooking—it’s growing your own vegetables, making your own seasonings and sauces, taking your time, and sharing an incredible meal with family and friends.
What’s the first thing you’re putting on your plate—the smoked brisket, bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers, grilled Brussels sprouts with Ajà Verde, or the fresh garden salad? 🔥👇
