Truly humbled and blown away! We sold all but a handful of things at today’s annual makers market, and couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shopped, and supported Hylton Homestead! 🐝 🪴 🥚

We’ll see you again next year! In the meantime, we’re always happy to create custom gift baskets and planters to fit any budget. Just send a message, and we’ll make it happen! 💛

🥚🌈 Fresh Eggs at The Hylton Homestead 🌈🥚

We are excited to share that our newest flock members have officially started laying! That means our egg baskets are now even more colorful, with beautiful white eggs joining the mix. We now have eggs in nearly every color of the rainbow—from rich browns and creams to blues, greens, and bright whites.

Our hens have plenty of space to roam, scratch, and enjoy the outdoors. They are fed a fully organic diet and cared for like family.

🥚 Organic Eggs
💲 $5 per dozen
📍 Finksburg pickup

There’s nothing quite like gathering a basket full of colorful eggs each day, and we love being able to share them with you. Message us if you’d like to reserve a dozen (or two)!

Officially calling these our winter warriors ❄️🌿
They survived the cold, the frost, and everything Maryland threw at them by hunkering down in the greenhouse!

Next step: propagation so we can share these tough little gems with you 💚

Stay tuned!

We officially harvested our first honey and beeswax! 🍯🐝 After about a year of learning, tending, and cheering on our bees, it feels so exciting to hit this milestone. Here’s to this sweet start—and (hopefully) lots more golden goodness coming this summer! Stay tuned as we bottle some to share around July.

It was such a beautiful day today in MD! 😃 We got the butterfly house cleaned and ready for spring. About 40 swallowtail chrysalises have been overwintering with us for more than six months — we can’t wait to see them emerge!

We are honored to be a part of the Makers Market on 9/28 at Emory Grove, where our family has been cottage owners for over 100 years. We will be offering a wide selection of unique plants from our greenhouse, fresh colorful eggs, and sourdough starter. Our sweet 5 year old daughter has been working hard on some special bracelets and pictures also :)

Hope to see you there!
