A fibreglass shell pool is the closest thing to a fast pool. The shell arrives, the site is prepared, and the installation is done properly from the base up.

What makes or breaks a shell pool is not the shell itself. It is the preparation underneath it and the finishing around it.

We have installed shells across Knysna and the Garden Route, from small courtyard pools to full entertainment areas.

A pool that drops a couple of centimeters in a hot week is normal. A pool that drops five centimeters or more in a day is telling you something.

The tricky part is that the water level does not show you where the problem is. It could be a crack, a fitting, pipework underground, or something in the equipment area.

Topping up hides the symptom and drives up your water bill. Finding the cause fixes it.

We investigate and repair pool leaks across Knysna and the Garden Route. Tell us what you are seeing, and we will take it from there.

It is the first question most homeowners ask us, so here is the short version.

A constructed pool is planned and built around your property, your space and what you want. It takes longer and costs more, but you get exactly what you designed.

A fibreglass shell pool arrives pre-manufactured and gets installed professionally, so you are swimming sooner. Smooth finish, less maintenance and a very efficient build.

Neither one is better. It depends on your yard, your budget and how long you are willing to wait.

Read the full comparison on our Pool Advice page, or send us a photo of your space and we will tell you which one fits.

Give your pool an hour this weekend and you will save yourself a lot of hassle in December.

1. Water loss. Mark the level today and check it again in 24 hours. Anything more than a few centimetres means something is leaking.
2. The pump. Listen to it. Grinding, rattling or struggling means it needs a look, not automatically a replacement.
3. The filter. Backwash it, check the sand or cartridges and clean the baskets.
4. Chemicals. Get the water balanced before the first hot weekend, not after it has gone green.
5. Safety. Check the fence, the gate and the covers before the kids are in and out all day.

If you would rather someone else did it, we do full pool assessments across Knysna and the Garden Route. One visit, a straight answer.

Your pool should be something you enjoy, not something you're constantly maintaining.

The right equipment can make a real difference to how easily and efficiently your pool runs.

From salt chlorinators and modern pool pumps to heating solutions that can help extend your swimming season, upgrading older equipment can mean less day-to-day maintenance, better performance and more time actually enjoying your pool.

And with electricity costs an ongoing consideration for South African households, choosing equipment suited to your pool and the way you use it matters.

Whether you're planning a new pool or wondering if your existing equipment could be working smarter, SIW Pools can assess your needs and recommend the right solution.

Less time looking after your pool. More time enjoying it.

A beautiful swimming pool is something you'll enjoy for years. That's why what happens beneath the surface is just as important as what you see.

Every successful project begins with careful planning, thoughtful design and a commitment to doing every stage properly. From preparing the site to the final finishing touches, quality is never left to chance.

Craftsmanship is found in the details. It's the care taken at every step that creates a pool that's not only beautiful but built to stand the test of time.

Because exceptional outdoor spaces are created with patience, precision and pride.
