SPECIAL DELIVERY! OR MAYBE NOT.
Yesterday, we sent out two Mulongwe herb pots through a third-party courier. The gentleman seemed nice, we had a little chat, and off he went. All was well in the world.
Or so we thought.
15 MINUTES LATER…
A message from our customer came through, and she was NOT happy. Apparently, the delivery man had been rude and refused to complete the delivery.
we didn't panic. We calmed our customer down, apologised for the experience and assured her we'd handle it.
Then we called the delivery man.
AND BOY, WAS HE MAD!
We asked him to return the pots, but that wasn't happening either. After some back and forth, we had to find another delivery driver to get those herb pots to their rightful owner… at an additional cost to us.
Because apparently, yesterday's business package came with a bonus lesson in logistics.
BUT THE PLOT TWIST?
The pots arrived in great condition, our customer received them, and she had some lovely things to say to us afterwards.
And honestly, that made the whole ordeal feel a little better. ❤️
Running a small business means you sometimes learn customer service and crisis management on the go.
But one thing we take seriously is making sure our customers are looked after, even when things don't go according to plan
