Every home tells a different story, and every design begins with understanding the people who will live in it.

For this 520 m² private villa in Wadi Al Shabak, Dubai, the client’s vision was to create a contemporary, elegant home that felt warm, comfortable, and timeless.

Working closely with the client’s personal style and preferences, Merci Projects developed an interior concept that balances individuality with thoughtful design.

The selection of warm wood finishes, natural textures, refined neutral tones, and carefully considered materials was guided by both the client’s vision and Merci Projects’ design expertise.

Particular attention was given to creating a harmonious relationship between the spaces, ensuring that every detail contributes to a cohesive and welcoming atmosphere.

A home designed around the people who live in it.

For this 465 sqm villa in Tilal Al Ghaf, Dubai, our team approached the interior with one clear intention: to create a home that reflected our client’s preference for warmth, elegance and understated luxury, while giving every space its own character within one cohesive design language.

From the beginning, we worked with a palette of warm ivory, beige, taupe and rich brown tones. Our client was drawn to interiors that feel refined and luxurious without relying on excessive ornamentation, so rather than introducing many different colours, we focused on building depth through materials, textures, lighting and subtle variations in tone.

We selected warm wood finishes, stone-inspired surfaces, layered textiles and carefully placed metallic details to bring richness to the neutral palette. The combination allowed us to keep the interior soft and calming while still giving it enough contrast and definition. Throughout the villa, we used warm lighting to emphasize textures and architectural details and to enhance the natural warmth of the materials we selected.

In the main living spaces, our team wanted to celebrate the generous proportions and natural light of the villa while maintaining a sense of intimacy and comfort. We kept the larger architectural elements visually clean and introduced softer forms through the furniture, fabrics and decorative pieces. The dining and kitchen areas were designed as a continuation of this language, allowing the spaces to flow naturally into one another rather than feeling individually disconnected.

Blue Waters Apartment | Dubai

Inspired by its waterfront setting, this 140 sqm apartment in Blue Waters, Dubai was designed as an interpretation of the sea—light, fluid, and serene.

The concept developed from the client’s preference for a bright, refined interior with distinctive blue accents. From there, our design direction introduced softer, more fluid forms throughout the living and dining areas, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, creating a visual connection to the movement of water rather than relying on an obvious coastal theme.

A palette of crisp whites, warm neutrals, ocean blues, natural stone and marble finishes creates the foundation of the apartment, while reflective and polished surfaces reference the changing character of light on the sea. Curved architectural details and sculptural elements continue this language across the different spaces, allowing each room to have its own identity while remaining part of the same story.

For the furniture, we proposed fluid and sculptural silhouettes to soften the architecture and reinforce the sense of movement. Fabrics were selected with the same balance in mind—soft, tactile upholstery and refined textures in neutral tones, complemented by carefully placed blues drawn from the surrounding waterfront.

The result brings together the client’s personal taste and our design recommendations in an interior shaped specifically for its location: sophisticated, calm and unmistakably connected to Blue Waters. 🌊

LUXURY-MINIMALIST APARTMENT

Designed for a client who preferred a clean, minimal and sophisticated interior, this 140 sqm apartment was developed around the idea of creating a calm and understated home without sacrificing the sense of luxury and refinement the client wanted.

The client’s taste leaned toward soft neutral colours, simple forms and uncluttered spaces, with a preference for an interior that would feel bright, elegant and comfortable rather than heavily decorated. At Merci Projects, we translated this vision into a restrained palette of warm whites, soft beige and taupe tones, complemented by subtle darker accents and carefully selected gold finishes.

Natural stone and marble-inspired surfaces play an important role throughout the apartment, bringing movement and richness to the otherwise minimal palette. Warm metallic details were introduced selectively through lighting, furniture and decorative elements, adding a refined contrast without overpowering the simplicity of the design.

Rather than relying on strong colour, we created depth through material variation and texture. Soft upholstery, polished stone, warm wood tones, fluted detailing and delicate metallic accents work together to give the spaces a layered character while maintaining the clean aesthetic requested by the client.

Lighting was also treated as an integral part of the design. Concealed illumination, architectural lighting and elegant statement fixtures were incorporated throughout the apartment to emphasize materials and architectural details while creating a softer, warmer atmosphere.

A timeless dining interior designed by our team for a residence in DAMAC Hills, Dubai. ✨

Our client had a preference for classic, elegant interiors, so our team developed a warm and sophisticated palette of soft ivory, rich dark wood, and subtle gold accents. We selected natural wood finishes and refined wall detailing to bring warmth and character to the space, while the darker feature wall creates contrast and gives the dining area a stronger architectural presence.

The result combines the client’s traditional taste with our approach to creating interiors that feel refined, balanced, and timeless.
