We’ve been nominated for the Falstaff LIVING Design Award 2026 in the Object category — and we’re very, very proud.

This October marks ten years since we started Sheyn, which makes this recognition feel particularly special. Ten years of experimenting, refining, printing, reprinting — and, above all, an ongoing obsession with shapes. When we started, 3D printing was still an unusual way to think about homeware. We saw something different in it: not simply a technology for producing objects, but a new design language. One that allowed us to explore geometries, silhouettes and surfaces that would be difficult to create in almost any other way.
•
That curiosity still defines our work today. We obsess over a curve until it feels right. We adjust proportions by millimetres. We develop textures that are not simply applied to an object, but become part of it — giving each piece its rhythm, tactility and character. And while the collection has grown, so has the way we make it. What began with a few printers has become our own production in Vienna, where our objects are designed, printed and finished locally. For us, digital fabrication has always been as much about bringing production closer again as it is about creating new forms.

So this nomination means a lot. It is recognition of ten years of experimenting, refining, printing, failing, reprinting — and continuously searching for new ways to turn geometry into objects for everyday life.

Thank you Falstaff LIVING for seeing what we do and for including Sheyn among this year’s nominees. We couldn’t think of a nicer way to approach our first ten years.
