After my last post on these eureka tiles. A bit of history, they opened in 1911 and in 1914 they really ramped up as a major manufacturer of roof tiles after a ship with 4 million tiles was sunk by a German raider during world war 1 , back then most of our terra cotta tiles were imported. Eureka ramped up and Ballarat had the best plastic clay, quarried locally, Lake esmond was one of the quarries. From what I can find they stopped making tiles in 1973 I could be wrong. These tiles are still strong and solid. Looks like a Robert Brown worked in the factory making tiles at one stage . Hip tiles small tiles to work your hips in. Gable tiles and glass tiles

Valleys were over bedded and leaking. Insurance company requested all Valleys be stripped out and cement replaced with valley seal and the tiles to be pressure cleaned.

This one had been hacked a few times, it's had 2 point overs in the past, and the last one it looked like they used their hands, bloody ugly. Anyway I removed all the old cement and re bed and pointed it.
