In recognition of National Volunteer Week, AOPA would like to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of those who give their time and expertise to advance the association and profession. There are many members who could be acknowledged and celebration, and for this year, AOPA would like to thank Lauren Ljiliak.
Lauren has contributed over many years as a member on multiple committees and previous state branches. Unknown to many of you, she has recently been attending monthly workgroup meetings to contribute to the digital health conversation. Additionally, she has dedicated considerable time to working on consistent data terminology and standards for inclusion in Snomed software systems. This involved not only the development of almost 1000 data items for inclusion but attendance at a two-day workshop.
Thank you, Lauren, this is an amazing contribution and will benefit all in the O & P profession for years to come.
