🌱 The boys are hard at work today planting our NEW Cobalt® Hybrid Buffalo!

We’re excited to be growing this next-generation Hybrid Buffalo right here at Ryans Turf — ready for harvesting in 2027! 👏

Cobalt® has been developed to deliver a great-looking, hard-wearing lawn while helping reduce ongoing maintenance.

Water efficiency is a growing priority across Australia. Cobalt® Hybrid Buffalo Grass has been specifically bred for improved drought tolerance. This means it requires less water to maintain healthy growth compared to many traditional buffalo varieties.

🌱 Excellent drought tolerance & reduced water requirements
🌱 Lower fertiliser & chemical inputs
🌱 Reduced mowing requirements
🌱 Superior wear tolerance & recovery
🌱 Strong shade tolerance
🌱 Outstanding year-round colour retention

With lower maintenance requirements and excellent durability, Cobalt® is an exciting option for everything from residential lawns through to commercial developments, councils and large-scale projects.

🌱 MEET THE TEAM — TIM 🚛

Tim joined Ryans Turf in 2021, bringing 20+ years behind the wheel — so if there’s a truck involved, Tim’s your man! 😂

Growing up on sheep and cattle properties around Braidwood, farm life is nothing new to him. When he’s not delivering your turf up and down the coast, you’ll usually find him mowing around the farm or talking about his Brahman cattle. 🐄

Reliable, hardworking and always willing to go the extra mile, Tim does his best to make sure your turf turns up safely and on time. 🌱🚛

Basically, Tim spends so much time in the truck we’re starting to think he lives in it. 😂

We’d be lost without you, Tim! 🤙

🌱 MEET THE TEAM — TREVOR 👋

Trevor joined Ryans Turf in 2017 after a casual 40 years in the forestry industry… so it’s safe to say he knows a thing or two about wood. 😂🪵

He started out processing firewood with a chainsaw, but these days he’s running our wood processing machinery and keeping Ryans Wheelie Wood stocked with split, seasoned firewood. 🔥

When he’s not on the wood processor, you’ll find Trev loading customers, driving trucks, delivering turf and landscape supplies, or fixing something around the farm. 🚜🔧

Basically, if it has an engine, wheels or involves timber — Trev’s your man. 😂

A true all-rounder and a big part of the Ryans Turf crew! 🤙🌱

We’re looking for someone who is:
✅ Reliable and hardworking
✅ Physically fit and happy working outdoors
✅ Able to work well as part of a team
✅ Comfortable following instructions and working independently
✅ Has their own reliable transport

Previous farm, landscaping or turf experience would be great, but isn’t essential for the right person.

🌱 Spring is here, and we’re getting ready for the growing season!

We’ve been busy sprig planting a fresh paddock of Kikuyu here at Ryans Turf. 🚜🌱

Sprig planting uses pieces of established Kikuyu to grow and spread across the paddock, creating a brand-new turf crop ready for future harvest.

With the warmer weather arriving, conditions are perfect for Kikuyu to get growing — now we wait for Mother Nature to work her magic! ☀️💧

From a bare paddock to a lush green lawn… it all starts right here. 💚

🌱 MEET THE TEAM — JESS 👋

Jess joined Ryans Turf at the end of 2025 after coming in to “just help out in the office”… and somehow never left. 😂

After managing a warehouse in Tassie, she made the move back home and swapped insulation for turf! 🌱

These days, Jess keeps busy with sales, marketing, looking after customers and finding new ways to grow the business — but she’s just as happy getting out of the office to load customers and lend a hand on the farm. 🚜

Always up for a chat and usually running on caffeine, Jess brings plenty of energy and laughs to the Ryans Turf crew. 😂☕🌱

Great to have you on the team, Jess! 🤙

🌱 Spraying just got smarter — and we’ve got some exciting news!

Ryans Turf is now a reseller of Rapid Spray products! 🙌

The RapidMix Range from Rapid Spray keeps your chemical and water separate until you’re ready to spray — helping make turf and property maintenance cleaner, easier and more efficient.

Perfect for targeted w**d control and spot spraying without having a tank full of pre-mixed chemical sitting around. 🙌

Available in:
💧 15L RapidMix Backpack Sprayer
💧 57L & 95L RapidMix Clean Tank 12V Spot Sprayers

A handy addition for landscapers, property owners and anyone serious about keeping their turf looking its best. 🌿

🌱 MEET THE TEAM — JOSH 👋

Josh has been part of the Ryans Turf crew for 9 years, so it’s fair to say he knows his way around a turf paddock! 🚜

Before turf, Josh studied Livestock Nutrition and worked on dairy and Wagyu farms before swapping cows for grass. 🐄➡️🌱

He started with us back in the days of the old 2-person harvester, when every roll had to be stacked by hand. These days, he’s upgraded to the Brower 4000 Auto-Stacker, cutting up to a whopping 1,700m² an hour! 💨

From harvesting and loading customers to keeping the paddocks looking their best, Josh is always getting stuck in.

Good to have you on the team, Josh! 🤙🌱
