Next up in our beautiful 1850 sandstone cottage project: the heart of the home

Classic white cabinetry, delicate panel detailing and soft green walls sit beautifully alongside the home’s character-filled windows and warm timber features.

A light, welcoming space for everyday cooking and gathering, with all the charm that makes this cottage special.

A little piece of history, thoughtfully reimagined.

Built in 1850, this beautiful sandstone cottage is full of character and charm. We recently had the pleasure of updating its kitchen, bathroom and laundry, bringing a fresh, contemporary feel to the interiors while respecting the home’s heritage.

For the bathroom, we paired soft, natural stone tones with textured blue-grey feature tiles, brushed nickel fittings and warm timber cabinetry. A beautiful balance of old-world charm and modern design.

A timeless update for a home with over 175 years of history.

One of our favourite additions to this space is the custom bench seat we built to create a cosy dining nook, while adding plenty of hidden storage underneath.

It’s still waiting on its upholstered cushion, but we couldn’t resist sharing it already.

We love finding ways to make every part of a home work a little harder and we have a feeling this is going to become a favourite spot in the house.

We love seeing a finished bathroom come together, but there’s something about this view through the sliding barn door that might be one of our favourites.

The warm timber vanity, soft green tiles and brushed brass details all peeking through are a little hint of what’s waiting on the other side.

So much thought goes into every detail of a renovation, and seeing it all come together at the end never gets old for our Abode team.

We took this dated bathroom and gave it a complete refresh. Replacing the old corner spa and enclosed shower with a much more open, light-filled space designed for everyday living.

It’s all in the details.

We love the big before & after moments, but it’s these smaller details that make a kitchen feel considered, functional and made for everyday life.

Our latest project in Menai. Swipe to see where we started.

This one was a pretty special transformation for our team. We completely reworked the existing kitchen, including removing a wall to open up the space and create a kitchen that feels bigger, brighter and much more connected to the rest of the home.

This bathroom renovation focused on creating a space that complements its bushland setting whilst providing a practical space for a busy family. Thoughtfully designed, the result feels calm, timeless and connected to its natural surroundings.

If you’re ready to transform your bathroom with a team that manages every detail, we’d love to bring your vision to life.
