When you hit a roo the size of a cow, you wouldn’t expect your driving lights to survive!
A customer recently had a serious run-in with a roo while driving their van, so they sent us some photos of their BASE6 LUX Series Driving Lights to see about repair or replacement.
We were expecting the worst.
Instead… the lights were basically untouched. 😳
No cracked lenses.
No dents.
No damage to the light itself.
The only casualty? A bent mounting bracket.
So rather than replacing the lights, all they needed was a new set of brackets and they were good to go again.
That’s the kind of saving we like to see. 💰

Well… we finally got Brodie in front of the camera.
For those who know Brodie, you’ll know he’s not exactly a natural in front of the lens. 😂
As our new BDM, being part of the digital side of OzLED is now part of the job, so after a bit of convincing (and probably a little bit of forcing), we got him to hit record.
We reckon he did pretty well for his first go. Be nice in the comments, legends. 😜 We’ll get him there!

👋 Meet James, the newest face in the OzLED team!
Some of you may have already spoken to James over the phone, but we thought it was time to properly introduce him.

James has joined us in Customer Service & Internal Sales, taking over from Trevor, who has moved into a semi-retirement role (can we say we are jealous?) and has joined our warehouse team part-time. We definitely miss having Trevor around the showroom every day, but luckily we still get to see him on the days he’s in!

Before joining OzLED, James spent the past 7 years at Keystar Rothwell, where he was the QAS Vehicle Manager, overseeing the maintenance and servicing of up to 84 QAS vehicles. That means he brings with him some seriously valuable knowledge.

We reckon that experience will be a huge asset to our team and, more importantly, to you, our customers.

Outside of work, James is into go-kart racing, fishing and his 2-year-old Jack Russell, whom he describes as a “terror” 😂. Apparently she’s an absolute sweetheart with everyone else, but turns into a maniac when playing with Dad. We think it’s only fair that we get to meet her, so James… bring her into work one day!

Yes, it’s a real thing. And yes, we’re absolutely going to celebrate it. 😂
