When it comes to small lot properties, fire separation can often be a challenge. That was certainly the case with our Toowong job, where we found that the existing layout didn't provide enough distance from the boundary to meet compliance requirements. But where others might have thrown in the towel, we got creative. Our solution involved a 90/90/90 fire-rated Hebel wall system, strategically placed at the end of the deck and back of the existing garage and integrated with proposed new external stairs. With this clever design, we were able to make the most of the limited space available, while still meeting all necessary safety standards. Now that's what we call smart problem-solving!
