I often get asked why I prefer to stock natural fibres like cotton, linen & merino. And this is why,

Wool keeps me cosy in winter, while cotton & linen let me breathe in summer. Because when perimenopause decides to turn up the thermostat without warning, the last thing I need is my clothing joining in!

Then there’s linen. Renowned for being one of the strongest natural plant fibres, it’s durable, breathable & softens beautifully with every wash. It can also develop a few creases along the way. Much like myself — a little softer & creased around the edges. It’s called character! 😉

Natural fibres are biodegradable. Did you
know a 100% pure cotton shirt can take up to 6 months to break down in a compost pile. Synthetic fabrics like polyester, nylon & acrylic, on the other hand, can persist in the environment for a very long time, shedding tiny plastic microfibres as they’re worn & washed.

So next time you’re shopping, take a moment to read the label & consider what your clothes are made from. Not just how they look, but how they feel, how long they’ll last & their impact on the planet. 🌿
